I know very little about “classical” opera, or singing. I do know “Folk, Native American,” and what’s called “Mountain Music” here in the Appalachians...THIS beautiful young lady is a very special GIFT to the rest of us. Two things in this world bring people together...the sharing of food, and music. Music is simply “storytelling.” If she were to be an ancestor of the same lineage as myself, she’d be a “shaman,” or an “oracle.” A holy person to be taught the history of her people through song... and storytelling. Whew, definitely blew me away...her young age be damned lol.
Try listening to Russian folk songs, they tell of Russian history and culture. There are also Russian chants which also do the same stories about Russian.
She had such a rough childhood, I would give her a standing ovation for just appearing on a stage and managing a smile. She is tremendously and uniquely talented. I wish her a safe and happy voyage through the treacherous performance and music industry.

You're very expressive and very intense feeling as well. To us, Russians, intensive, quite often dramatic perception of the world is someting traditional Russian. By the way her chanting in that song has nothing to do to eiher Middle East or West Indian. It's more a mixture of folk Russian manner of singing and Tyva or Buryat shamanic troat singing. Tuva and Buryatia are Russia's regions. Diana [di'ana], not [dai'na]. She was 14 at that Song Contest in 2018. By the way she's an adopted girl. He real mother almost killed her in the bathtub when she was 3 years old. And then she threw Diana in the street in winter time. So then Diana spent 2 years in an orphanage, she didn't say a word, that is lost an ability of speech. When she was 5, she was adopted by an employee of this orphanage and on the advice of her friends she took her to a vocal teacher and so, and Diana first restored her singing, and then began to speak again. As you see, she has a special fate. She sings first and just then she speaks. In other words she needs to sing to just talk. So you can hear the results of her soul trauma in her manner of singing though she has actually overcome it and transforms it into something genious.

Her "German" are just a few words in yodel song. Not really good pronounced. And no. It is not swiss german, also. Her French, English, Spanish and of course Russian are far better. Except of Russian I understand all of these languages.

I cant even understand when english (or any other language) is sung. I listen to the beat/rythme when i listen to music. Have very hard time catching the words. Even when i can understand it i cant remember it 20 secounds later :P

@@McDevittMike No kidding. The whole concept of the the show is "Super". The staging, dancers, musicians, song arrangements, producers, etc. Leave out the politics and manipulation of what producers want to sell to the public.
The cherry above the cake is that she uses ancient slavic vocabulary which is used in medieval traditional folk songs called "Bylina". It adds a tons to the atmosphere if a listener knows Russian.
This performance is so perfect that it's hard to imagine she'll ever be able to top it! I bet she will though! I couldn't wait to see your reaction to Rechenka and you did not disappoint! You're so appreciative of talent! The bald judge is Krutoy who has produced several songs for Dimash, so I do hope one day Diana and Dimash will join forces. That would be epic! Of all her performances, this song is by far my favourite. It's very tribal-like. I love it
You're very expressive and very intense feeling as well.
To us, Russians, intensive, quite often dramatic perception of the world is someting traditional Russian. By the way her chanting in that song has nothing to do to eiher Middle East or West Indian. It's more a mixture of folk Russian manner of singing and Tyva or Buryat shamanic troat singing. Tuva and Buryatia are Russia's regions.
Diana [di'ana], not [dai'na]. She was 14 at that Song Contest in 2018. By the way she's an adopted girl. He real mother almost killed her in the bathtub when she was 3 years old.
And then she threw Diana in the street in winter time. So then Diana spent 2 years in an orphanage, she didn't say a word, that is lost an ability of speech. When she was 5, she was adopted by an employee of this orphanage and on the advice of her friends she took her to a vocal teacher and so, and Diana first restored her singing, and then began to speak again.
As you see, she has a special fate. She sings first and just then she speaks.
In other words she needs to sing to just talk.
So you can hear the results of her soul trauma in her manner of singing though she has actually overcome it and transforms it into something genious.
Certainly proves the adage that hard times make great souls.

Se estás agora a ver pela primeira vez coisas sobre a Diana prepara-te...é como a droga, ficamos viciados, o mal é começar.
Há cerca de ano e meio vi por acaso a actuação do Yodel e depois esta do Rechenka ( obra-prima) e até hoje nunca mais parei e já perdi a conta a tudo o que vi desta menina/adolescente.
