An old digger on the farms the most useful thing to have sitting around, I always find the time to fix mine if It needs it. But I never seem to have time to fit new handles in broken shovels LOL. The 50 is grand as is , I wouldn't put a cab on her , we used to have a 165 on the loader and shear grab for years love the sound , and of the gear box , we used to buckrake with her too 😎🤙🤙
Love the bit of digger work 👍🏼, although I think Uncle was a bit harsh on father Phil was a bit generous, I'd say split the difference and say 5 out of 10 for the digger work 😁 Like on my old school reports, "Room for improvement" 👌🏼😉

Those jcb 300 series are only a toy and are only fit for feeding cattle not what Phil is doing pit silage , if you want a shovel that will last you need a 412 or 414
@@ethanearle9457 well that’s complete bollocks a dairy near me milking 1000 cows used to run 2 320 on the pit on pushing and the other just rolling and they kept up just fine with bigger trailers than phill running at them

On the 50, have ye ever thought about putting a euro headstock onto it? Could share some of the attachments with the 6480 (and possibly the jcb, not sure on that though) if a situation like this arose again
Have seen a few people round us with them rigged up like that, we actually bought a Fleming spike off a neighbour who used it on a 50 ex, or something along those lines
@@seanking9325 maybe so. And certainly would be round sheds etc. But often wondered round the pit would the loader not be much quicker. Bigger grab etc.
We used to use had a 6ft shear grab but she was hard on diesel and tyres so we stopped using it. One tyre on the loading shovel would nearly buy the 4 tyres for the teleporter😂

3 to 7 out of 10. the more you get to practice and play, the better you get, like violin practice. with tractors. lol sounds like you will find practice fun.

Great video. I enjoy watching older machines working. Have a good week.
I love the expressions... Real Irish one 'pricking about'.. 😁

Phil you are one very good operator.
It's great to see them old masseys still at work great video farmer phil
We have a Massey Ferguson digger 50 lovely machine
Old Massey but works perfect 👍👍💪💪
Will ya do a classic Thursday on the 15 ton
Yes whenever we get the track back on it
Great stuff Phil keep her lit and keep the vlogs coming
great video phil

It’s great to see a bit of vintage machinery, you should try a make a cab for it
Keep up the good work
Your good man driving machinery Philip 👍
re bonjour encore une belle vidéo et le massey tourne très bien 😍 bon courage a vous pour la suite 👍👍👍

Love your music Phil.
If u had a silage grab for it would u rather that or the jcb loader
I’d prefer that till it rained😂 I am hoping tho that we’ll get an adapter made up for the 50 and a 3rd service
I used to have 1 with a shear grab on it great hydraulics on it would go threw a three if u wanted it and u could get a 3in1 bucket aswell
We always talk to the cattle when moving them and they work with us so much better then shouting at them
was that a brown over in the corner of the field when you were bringing the digger to the hedge
It is a case
Please do make a video on the bullocks and heifers👍

Financial advice:
Sell the teleported and the loading shovel,
Replace them with a JCB tm320
Couldn’t agree more need a decent sized telehandler get rid of shovel & there clapped out bumble bee jcb it’s tiered lol
Ya because they don’t feed in the summer so it’s perfect
Those jcb 300 series are only a toy and are only fit for feeding cattle not what Phil is doing pit silage , if you want a shovel that will last you need a 412 or 414
But for getting in the small bedded sheds its tight to ckean it out

Could you explain the reasons for rearing bull beef and not ringing them? Cheers
Better growth rates, better feed conversion. We do have some bullocks/steers tho
@@FARMERPHIL3690
Thanks Phil. Is there any difference in the meat compared to steers?
@@roberthiggins6401 absolutely none when it comes to taste or quality. But in the factory steers tend to grade lower than bulls
would love some news on the 590
Would lifting the silage and knocking bits off like that not make it heat up ?
It would be similar to taking it out with a tine grab, the air will get at it and it would go off faster than it would using a shear grab but if you use it fast enough it won't heat up
It was only till the tele got fixed, he usually uses the shear bucket. Wouldnt say they be too worried about a little bit of loss like that
Wud love to see a video of the David brown
Good old Massey Ferguson digger just keep on going 🇮🇲👍
When ye start ploughing could ye go over how to plough out a corner and headlands
Is that a new place with all the sheep fences and sheep feeders
Yes

What happened the old skidsteer
why are ye not using the urses on the diet feeder
The clutch is gone on it
I have an industrial 265 massey digger

Ye they do he said in a recent vid that they will be using it soon

Three! Sure 2 is when the digger needs to be recovered.
Nice video 😊👌
The uncle has 1 parked up with years cab isn't too bad but back digger part is off it with years

What happened of the daewoo digger ye had
Currently stuck in a bog missing a track
Hi Phil, will ask father will the half inch Milwaukee take the wheel nuts of a tractor, or would 1 want a three quarter sound phill
