Hi, no, I have looked into it and was going to do a video on it, it’s a task for next year. I have found that good cuts give me a pretty good result. Better than the commercial ones (independent tested)

Ok, I'll be interested to see how you go about it. I always filter any white products..

Cheers Nick - so good you could compare to a commercial GNS. Have you tried treating your low wines with sodium carbonate? From what little I know, it increases the pH of your low wines, weakening the chemical bonds of the congeners, increasing your hearts cut. Go for lower yield, higher quality if possible!

Hey mate, yeah couldn’t agree more, quality over quantity. I’m really happy with the end product. Thanks. Nick

Is this High PH Sugar Wash noticeably different in taste or alcohol recovery than the previous wash started at a lower ph?
any thoughts on the dramatic ph drop just after startup of this start at high ph wash?

All sugar washes have a dramatic dip in ph. Our water has a ph of 7 so to decrease and then increase ph levels just means you’re chasing your tail. To answer your questions no, I didn’t notice any change in quality or quantity. Works for me. Thanks for the comment and following the channel. Nick

Is this through a reflux or pot?

Did you do a stripping run first, or did you go right to the spirit run?

Hi Eric, I do a spirit run straight off the wash. Pay a lot of attention to the cuts, which gives me a really clean neutral off the 6 plates. Thanks for watching. Nick

Even with the best reflux column you should run the process twice. After just one you still have much crap in your product, even if you *think* you only smell clean ethanol after the first time. Believe me, it is not clean after one go. Cheers.
