  • Polar Scope Align Pro, beyond polar alignment, offers several tools to aid your observing/astrophoto sessions. I thought I'd show off one of my favorite features that is a bit "buried" in the DSO Database tool and lets you point your phone at a part of the sky that interests you (in my case the part that has no trees) and sort objects by distance from it, while you can still apply all other filters to pick the perfect target for your session.
Sorry about the quality and poor voice-over, it was my first ever attempt at making a video with voice.

Wow - very cool and useful features, especially for those of us living with major sky obstructions. Is there any way to polar align the ZWO AM5 mount without a polar scope or Polemaster using this Polar Align Pro and/or SkySafari 7 Pro (both of which I have)? Still haven't figured out how to polar align my AM5 mount without using a camera plate solve/ASIAIR or equivalent app. Since the AM5 doesn't come with a polar align scope, I'm thinking the best solution is adding a Polemaster.

Best astro app? Probably! OK you need a sky map even though your phone is too small, but this app does so much and this feature is so useful and saves so much hard work and time on a cold night! Brilliant.

Rename video title to "Polar Scope Align Pro" instead of "PS Align Pro". While the PS abbreviation is obvious to yourself as a creator, the video doesn't appear in search results for Polar Scope Align Pro.

It's the other way around actually. I never intended to name it PS Align, but I found out (from forums etc) that this is how the majority of users refer to it (because that's how it shows up on the home screen - I couldn't fit anything more). I did have Polar Scope Align as a keyword/tag, no idea why it did not come up on search. Trying to have both names now. Thanks.
