    As pretty as this look is, some things you should know about how "whitey" (Marilyn's makeup artist) did her makeup:
    1. It wasn't a black liquid, it was a brown pencil
    2. She never wore powder, only a tiny bit on her nose and forehead for film
    3. She sometimes put white eye shadow in the middle of her lips and wore loads of lip gloss that she used to make herself
    4. I noticed you didn't use any highlighter, which she used a lot of for film to shape her face
    You just seem to know a lot about her, so this info may be useful in the future :-)

    Great tutorial!
    Marilyn's makeup artist usually used brown eyeliner on her with the thinnest (really thin) line of a bronze just on the top of the eyeliners edge (on the lid), he also used a white pencil on the inner eye and otter edge of the eye just under the part that starts to come away from the eye - weird.
    BUT i do love this tutorial its a very modern Marilyn and easy for ppl who don't do much with their makeup- you have make it SUPER EASY

    Liked the tutorial,but think a bit more research on her routine would have helped,she shed brown pencil,not black liner,and lots of contour and highlighting to achieve the perfect heart shape.She also used her own gloss and her favourite lipstick was Diabolique by Guerlain now called Insolence de rouge 522.Whitey who was her mua used over 5 layers of lipstick and gloss with whhite powder to achieve her fantastic pout.

    she wore white eyeshadow on her entire eye, and brown liner above and below her eye to create a "shadow" and white in-between, she had specific contouring to get the perfect heart shape face which is why her brows were that way, it was to draw them upwards.. u should have researched her look more.. the reason it was so iconic is because it was SPECIFIC, took years to master. it wasn't just normal eyeliner mascara and lipstick.. there were ways it was applied, different techniques and colors, to look the way it does. you just should've researched a little more.

      the best detailed is by Kandee Johnson, Marilyn Monroe (the most recent one) she followed Whiteys directions BUT this one is also good. Thanks.

    • @justinakioka7145
      @justinakioka7145 9 років тому +6

      lol what There are many ways to give advice to people. Im disgusted that you chose a quite harsh way. Nic did her best and the final result was beautiful, you should have researched how to be a nice person. If you didn't like the way she did Marilyn's make-up, then why are you even here?

    • @justinakioka7145
      @justinakioka7145 9 років тому +12

      It is an interpretation of Marilyn's iconic look, not an exact replica. And until you can create and execute her make-up EXACTLY how Whitey did it, shut up, sit down, and don't move.
