Thanks for the update. It's probably more for me that we know you are doing well. Telling us about the performance of your systems and significant tweaks & learnings is also 'real' content that I choose to listen to.
Hi Cathal, good to see you posting again. I always enjoy the content. Just wondering I too have rush issues. I run a small flock of hens and wonder is it if there is a rush seed bank in the ground that the chickens rooting at the soil coupled with the nitrogen rich manure which creates a great environment for rushes cause I see rush on some parts of my farm which is well drained soil that never had rush. Have you had any worthwhile harvests from fruit, nut trees or berry bushes. Which varieties have performed well.
I think the triggers for rush growth is a complex dynamic ever-changing thing and what you are observing could very well be a contributing factor. fruit/ nut trees are only starting to bare fruit I'm in a very exposed site so I kind of expellers them to take a few years longer to get established.
Thank for the video Cathal, really appreciate it ❤. We love seeing your builds and.how you are putting them together. My wife and are will.be attending your course in June 😊looking forward to it!
Thanks for the video Cathal, looks like a lovely practical build. Last time we were talking you were having discussions with organic certification and had issues with hours of darkness in the housing. Did they come to their senses over natural daylight or have you stepped away from the cert?
Hasn’t stopped raining in Tipperary since last June it seems. I believe the rain we are getting it’s absolutely down to an ineffective water cycle country wide.

I have moved away from any sort of labelling certification and relay solely on being transparent with my customers and building trust with them.
