You guys need to carry a "Camp Camera" with you on your trips! Bring a extra trail camera and set it up covering all your stuff. A cell camera would be ideal! A video of Hayden and Ted reclaiming their property from some loser thieves would make me very happy!
To jump on this, camera could be set up inside your truck (locked up) and looking over the camp site. Sorry about your gear, guys!

You can't use trail cameras in missouri public land
From Missouri and a exclusive public land hunter. I have had a stand stolen, luckily thats it. Some of these people are low lifes. Seem to think no one is allowed to hunt public land. Thinking everyone else is givinv hunters a bad name, when its really them. Really wish i would run into ya'll sometime. Been wqtching you guys since i started hunting 9 yrs ago. Learned alot from you guys. Good luck this year on all your adventures!
Maybe don’t leave permanent stands on public land. It’s for everybody not just you. Imagine if everyone did this, you would be seeing metal ladders everywhere you go. You don’t see these guys doing that.
@jackrapier6748 I have no problem with someone hunting my stand. And it's not illegal to have a portable NOT PERMANENT stand on public. What is wrong with you? I hunt legally.

Man that's 💯percent fact. I live in southeast Missouri and hunt pg all the time trucks been hit a few times. Had my battery stolen the last time. It's rediculas. We never use to have to worry bout that man.

I bought property near Winona MO 3 years ago, expressly to hunt. I've found there are some unsavory characters there, riding S×S down gravel roads looking for easy pickens. Sorry for your cooler and stuff stolen, lesson learned. I did, I look all my stuff up in a JobBox chained to a tree with camera. Love what ya'll are doing 😊

Guys if u have an extra cheap trail cam, set it up on anything u leave unattended. I have a 25.00 Tasco i use in similar situations, no biggie if it gets swiped, my Yeti cooler on the other hand, id rather it not get stolen.

Sorry about your all’s stuff! On a positive note, the mosquito repellent Hayden is using, works like an absolute charm! Highly recommend. Also the Sawyer tick spray (w/ permethrin) great purchase. Each recommended by THP in a few videos back.

I’m not opposed to switching species mid hunt…setting up deer camp tonight and I leave a lot more at camp than a cooler and a target.
I didn't know that about beans. And the farm I hunt has beans this year so that's a great tip about them liking them more brown. So thanks for that

I’d generally agree that Culver’s is the best you can get. IDK if you can call it fast food though - a value basket and a kids meal cost me $28 today.
I’m not complaining about the price; I understand things go up in cost and that’s just life.
All I’m saying is that for $15 a plate, we’re basically at a chilis / Applebees / bww etc. cost per plate

I'm a Wisconsin public land hunter, and it's a common thing for people to watch where you go and steal your stuff. Also run you off public land due to it being their spot. Also not to uncommon to get back to your truck with flat tires or broken windows. Dnr and police don't do anything about it, unless you have serious proof. I wish hunting was as it was when I was young. People cared, helped, and we're actually happy when others got a deer. Now it seems people get upset if someone gets a buck and they don't. It's no longer hunting as I remember. Public land is for all

@@JohnDoe-xq8sk shawano co around tigerton was pretty bad about 4-5 years ago. Kinda getting better now, but I still hear reports of hunters running others off public (their spot only).

TRUUUUST ME, you guys gotta try moving your hands like ears and a tail flick, look how much she was using them. Been in those situations and done that, and even shot 3 times. Wide open kept coming in for a shot, mulies too. Best results I had was when I used a hat with a white back and flicked it like the tails..

Public land hunter in MO. 3 years so far, no deer taken. I've been close and lost all of them to people walking dogs at dusk and dawn??? I'm not surprised you got your gear stolen. Lots of tweakers and garbage human beings ruin our beautiful public land. I've even had my own car messed with before. It's something Missouri conservation department needs to start getting a handle on. Our state spends a lot of money on conservation, I don't see why they cant get a handle on this. So sorry you guys lost your gear.

I see you used that Picardin lotion for mosquitoes..why don’t you guys use a thermacell? Just curious and if anybody in the comment section has any reason as to why you shouldn’t use a thermacell let me know! I’ve used one since they came out. I remember watching the hunting Chanel on tv and seeing the advertisements and laughed at it then seen Walmart got them so I got one and the difference it made was so incredible I haven’t stopped using one yet. BUT to be honest I can smell it so any animal should be able to smell it to and I wouldn’t call it a natural smell so I’ve always kinda thought about that but it keeps the mosquitoes away so good and if your wind is right does it matter what you smell like…🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ somebody answer me
Where I’m at when the mosquitoes are thick thermacell didn’t work for me. Still had a lot of mosquitos. I plan to try the lotion
Thermacells are great, but when there’s a little wind, I don’t think it helps much as the wind blows the 15x15 coverage area away. The lotion looks like it would work better in that situation.
They have made a earth scent pad I have used before kinda gives a cover scent while keep skeeters at bay

Listen up. Unless you feel like shopping for thieves, accept the fact that dirt bags are everywhere and don't give a foo about your feelings. In fact, they're laughing their asses off. Thieves are opportunist two legged rodents. Secure everything in your vehicles that you can.
For your camp, put up a surveillance sign "Camp protected by cell cameras." Put up working cameras if you have them, broken ones if you don't have any. Point them at each other. Keep a dash cam in your car, turned on if you can.

I'm confused. Did you just leave a cooler sitting in a parking lot with nothing else around it? Or was like the cooler sitting by your car and went missing because that's a little different. But if you left a Kohler just in the parking lot and use were gone and there was nothing else around that mean I don't know. It's like finders keepers kind of but if you know if your car was there and stuff that's effed up
A little trick i use if I am worried about my truck is i set up a trail camera pointing at it. Won't stop a thief, but it may catch them and same someone else the trouble later.

Man I hunt P.G in south east Missouri and I had to stop taking anything extra .I've had my truck broken into twice. Now I leave my door unlocked and nothing in it. Didn't wanna have to get another new window

I know that CA. I had a viper climber taken from there a few years ago. Looked like they clubbed my bike lock with a stump. If you left just a cooler there with no vehicles and nothing else its a longshot but a ca agent might have picked it up. doubtful but worth a phone call.

I know where this place is but l wont say on here. 7 years ago i seen a nice 10pt in a trail and couldn't get a shot on him because the wind blew my scent and he winded me. But good luck hope you all get a big buck

I bought Mathews phase 4 in February, not even 3 months out turkey hunting left the bow in the car went out and scouted …. $4,000 dollars in this bow and some loser comes and steals it. Do you know how many months I had to work my butt off and save for that? Now this season I have to use a cheap Amazon bow because the one I worked my tail off for was stolen!!!!! Definitely didn’t deserve that nor did you folks!!!!!

What do yall know about the Sawyer lotion picardian? If you put it on it is absorbing into your skin I really can't get past that. It works great but I guess what I am asking is it safe to put an insecticide on your skin. I spray chemicals for a living and spend my days trying to keep them.off of me.
Always put a trail cam around camp or even your truck. Takes like 5 mins. I had a yeti cooler stolen and got there plates off my trail cam. Both those guys got suspended hunting license that year😂 my father ended up beating the shit out of one dude at a bar
