I just bought this bronze .78 razor as well as a stainless steel .95 closed comb razor. They're both being shipped to me as we speak. I've heard many good things about Timeless Razors and I'm sure they will live up to the hype.
Mike Orsini How do you like your Timeless razors? And do you like one more than the other? I am considering getting one as well. Currently using a Rockwell 6s with the 6 plate.
@@brotherderek Yep. I ended up buying all three. Just used the Bronze this morning. Loved it. I really love the Titanium though cause it's nice and lightweight. I still love my Rockwell razors too though and bought all 3 of those as well. Surprisingly enough the 6c has incredible feedback. Love it.
The .078 bronze OC felt like a straight razor shave. That base was x10 more aggressive than my .095 stainless from them. The 38 was to mild and the 78 was a wood chipper. I went back to my stainless... as fast as to were making those passes I’m pretty sure your face was on fire the rest of the day.
I would like to see Timeless make more handle designs for the other materials besides Stainless Steel. The Bronze & Ti only have one option the last I looked.
I thought open comb razors were for guys with a thick beard, the comb was to help go through the whiskers and suds, that is why you might not feel like it is so smooth.
I have the Timeless Stainless with the 0.68 blade gap. It is my most beautiful razor, but I don't use it, because it is aggressive as hell. It makes me furious When you say that the 0.78 feels more aggressive than the 0.92. This confirms my suspicion that I should've bought the 0.92 instead of the 0.68.
Thanks for the input. So, as you testify, the .68 is milder thant the .95 (as it should, also that's why I chose it). Unfortunately, it still cannot be considered mild. For me, it requires no less concentration to use than a Muhle R41. Which means that I still should've bought the .95. Because then I would have a real aggressive razor for occasional big growth. Now I have an aggressive razor which is called mild and is probably less ideal for dealing with longer stubble. (My last assumption is not pure speculation: Out of all of my razors, the Timeless .68 needs to be rinsed the most often. Otherwise, I feel my own stubble prickle back from the razor. A phenomenon I have never experienced with any other razor.)
Have you tried a steeper angle on the handle (closer to the face).Had the same problem with the .95 Timeless, felt aggressive and everybody else said it was smooth. Same problem with the Paradigm 17/4. After using a steeper angle it was smooth as butter . www.badgerandblade.com/forum/threads/steep-and-shallow-angle-shaving-defined.530201/
Wow. I always suspected that blade gap is not everything. Now I know. Sveinung Hamre, let me quote from the page you linked: 'Blade gap is commonly associated with razor aggressiveness, but, at best, blade gap only loosely relates to razor performance. Blade exposure, guard span, and blade angle, on the other hand, are very important performance parameters with respect to aggressiveness and efficiency.' Wow again...
i am afraid you just pay for the looks and material - bronze probably not as aggressive as muhle r41 or fatip piccolo now, it may last for 30- 40 yrs for sure but even if you change your fatip every 5 years, you still spend same ammount of money and also get a closer shave in 1 pass thou, you won't have a bronze razor

@@trueblu8 I was going to ask the same question :) lol I have the .95 OC and I am considering the Bronze. Have you tried it yet? Thanks.

Beautiful razor, great shave Chris.

ponydeal1 open comb! Is for better lubrication! With more blade feel! Not everyone likes that!
Which is smoother this oc bronze or Rockwell 6S plate 5 ?
Does anybody know of a site or a person selling used titanium safety razors? Thank you.
I want it.

Hmm... Probably not... A glimmer of hope...? I'll have to check it.
I have the open comb by the way...
