Probably the best Data East table available on VP, if not the best DE table period. Williams is pretty much the king of pinball, but Data East has some good tables too. I wish someone (and by that I mean JPSalas) would redo Jurassic Park and Starship Troopers. The existing version of JP is decent but nowhere near as good as this. The existing version of ST is terrible. BTW, the best score I've managed on this is about 120 million (which was actually earlier today), so you kicked my ass :)
Looking at this, the original seems to play A LOT harder than this emulation. This looked slow and the saarlac pit kickout seems way less dangerous - you also seem to get the saarlac pit way more often when shooting for the drop-targets just by lucky bounces. Also, the center ramp usually drops the ball to the right finger here - In reality this is a drain monster if the ball rolls back as it comes toward the center drain.
I'm getting better at this game, slowly but surely. Finally broke 200M (just barely) earlier today. Then just now I managed 271M, my highest score to date. Do you know, is there any way to increase the number of balls per game. On all of the Williams and Stern tables I always set it to five balls. But I don't see any way to do that on Data East games.
