!! I just visited Whiting & Hornick this past week for the first time. It had long been on my bucket list. I am SO sad to know I missed this screening by just a few months!
I hate when that happens! We wanted to do a locations video for the movie Twister and it turns out the Twister festival in Wakita is this weekend with Sean Whalen as the guest (we Zoom interviewed him 3 years ago on our podcast but haven't met in person). Unfortunately, we both have other plans. You just need to clone yourself so you never miss out!
@Loch22Productions, the new color of the house actually looks better. It looks like the typical color of an old house like that. Set the color of the house in the movie was bad.
@Loch22Productions So the house is jacked up like Mrs Burke's house from the second movie except not on a jack. Wich I scratch my head on when I think of Children of the Corn part 2 final sacrifice. I mean what happened to her didn't need the Children of the Corn to help out. All it would take is an accident with the jack is losing Hydraulics which is why no one ever really does that if anything that would do something like that where they put things under the house but what do you expect it was just a movie.
My question is how did they pick the house out in the middle of nowhere for the monopoly kids scene? Did they just drive around, or did someone recommend it?
Ive been there every August since 2020! Whiting,Salix, and Hornick. I make the trip from Colorado so ya im a big fan. Do you know when the next festival is? This summer i imagine?
We must have been there about the same time, because the house looked the same construction wise. I was so bummed at first thinking it was being torn down or moved elsewhere. I was there first week of August.
omg I swear I almost pissed myself when you fell on the corn LOL!!!!
Classic Dane-Mychal!!!
I was Special Effects Coordinator and enjoyed working on this film. Wish I had been there for this event.

This movie I liked all through the years thanks for Directing the Movie And Set Crew.
Excellent video, lots of info & fun!
This was so corn-y! Great job!
Excited for future videos!
Good video.. kind of weird seeing the intro children of the corn title accompanied by upbeat cheerful music lol
This is very interesting
Great stuff, gents.
DAMES CHOMPS THE CORN! 2:59
love you, Danny.
I hope that the corn you ate was at least warm!
No sir, fresh from the stalk.
Actually, it was a little warm from sitting in the car for several hours in July. Ha!
