- In my opinion, this is the best thing to do in Grand Teton National Park. Swift Creek Outfitters is a third-generation horse ranch within the Teton range that takes people on a backcountry horseback ride. It is an incredible experience and worth doing once when you are in Grand Teton National Park. We were so impressed by our guide, our horse was awesome, and the views were unmatched. Thank you for this video! We are planning our trip for May 2023. How long was the horseback ride? I really want to do this. You are so right, how can you go the the GTNP and not go horseback riding!
Which horseback tour did you do? 3 hour tour?
Yes 3 hr
Which campsite would you recommend?
Depending on where you want to be. Colter bay is our fav spot. North side of park near Jackson lake lodge. Beautiful area. Near oxbow bend and a lot of wildlife. Jenny lake has campsites but they fill up fast. And last option is gros ventre probably the easiest spot to get a site and that is just outside the park but you still get amazing views of the Tetons in the distance.
