- something the world have in commen is that we all love food.
mostly we get our food from supermarkets and they are already processed. I'm ethiopia we make everything at home now days there are some places where they sale already prepared goods in the supermarket but the majority of ethiopia still do all the processing of the good at home or by them self.
we buy the row material and add things we want to it keep it clean and healthy. wefcho bet is one of them.
it's a place here we get out food to be poder and make it easier for us to cook it.

Your culture is very fascinating. The more i learn of it the more,i want to visit , and be part of it. To walk the continent of my ancestors will be a dream come true.
🌼💚💛❤️🌼🙏🏿🤗😘
Thank you for allowing us to learn about the day to day life of Ethiopians.
My pleasure ☘️🌻❤️🙏🏿
They take care of the donkey so as not to wear it out. That's really kind of them.
It's nice to see things like this that make Ethiopia unique. Thank you.
☘️🌻❤️🙏🏿
Found your channel yesterday and it’s an instant addiction... I think I watched almost all your videos this Sunday! Please keep it up my Habesha sis ❤️🇪🇹❤️🇪🇷❤️
Thank you so much dear ☘️😊❤️🙏🏿😘
I enjoy this very much. Thanks for the word of the day. please show us in geez script also much appreciated. One love
thank you for sharing this. people always ask their family to send them stuff outside of us but i never seen it prepared wow more appreciation for rural areas like where my grandmother lives who have to do this all at home by hand
Wow that's what we used to do especially with maize because is our main food and was tasting
Brings back memories of growing up in Addis. Korkoro Alle , Vopchobeth etc.
Konjo konjo konjo. I love you very much.
I appreciate your dedication to educate and capture what makes us ( Ethiopian ) unique, by going place most of us don’t even recognize it exists. This is the true measure of hard work that define who we are especially our moms as being responsible for family meal planning. I also liked going WEFECHO BETE when I was a child, I liked the look of power in the eyelash’s..... it brings childhood memories....... much respect to you dear!. Please keep being who you are and continue the fabulous work you do!. I also love your senses of humor!.
Thank you so much dear am so happy to know i am not the only one that enjoyed going to wefcho 😃
የኔ ቆንጆ ከወፍጮ ቤት ደሞ መጣሽልን 😂😂 ትዝታ ለቀቅሽብኝ big love and respect for you as always. And I never seen such much kuralew and liwacxh your village is a producer of them 😂😂😂
I know they love my hood man hahah
You are a fine and sweet person. So much childhood memories you bring. Yene konjo ♥️
i always always follow my mom to wofcho bet. Till i got married. I never let her go by her self. When i was little i love to see the little birds there 😀. Nice vid as always girl❤
Thank you o yes the little birds i for some strange reason there was not much of them in this wefcho bet i think the donky eats it all that's why
Another very informative and educational presentation!
There is so much we have not learned about our beautiful world and it is truly a pleasure to have the chance to see the parts (via vlogging), and to hear the real stories never told till now.
Thank you!
🌼💚💛❤️🌼🌿🙏🏿😘
This is what you call proper home made!! BETAM KONJO!
🌼💚💛❤️🌼🤗🙏🏿
I love how you integrate important messages on sustainability. I noticed on other videos as well. Thank you😀
Smart girl 😉 working with the subconscious.
Wow, that's awesome. So you can get it directly from the mill other than going to Shoa Market. Gotta respect that
It was one of my favorite things to do as a kid too. I had a small sack ( pillow case lined with plastic bag) that can carry like 2kgs that I loved carrying. The whole culture in wefcho bet is fascinating from people arguing with the attendants that they don't want their grain to go first or please don't put my shiro in the berbere wefcho, village gossip and weighing ourselves on the scale. Beautiful memories. Thank you dear for being so authentic. 😘 I have been binging on your videos since yesterday. I would love to share a meal with you next time I am in Addis.
Btw wefcho bet, called posho mills in Kenya are also a big deal there. They prepare their maize and porridge flour there.
So wonderful to know we have sucked a similar culture
This donkey works here as well.. LMAO. I liked you little story about the donkey
Wonder who is that persistent one hater disliking your videos? That person must be living a very depressing life 🤔
She must run away from him/her.
They are a fun🤣 who ever it is they been doing it since I started my channel am very impressed by there dedication i hope they learn something from my videos. I am learning to never give up and be consistent from them 🙏🏿🌼💚
You are con jo. I love njira. I buy mine every other week from a delightful Ethiopian Adams restaurant in Brixton Hill. 🇬🇧Did the donkey also drink water? That donkey seems to enjoy his role as he carried his perfect weight to deliver. Yes the process of shaking off the grain from the skins is called winnowing. Do you plan to visit London?
Always enjoy what you post 😍👍🏿 you took me 23 years back . The best video coz I tried to explain my children why we should respect more tayta. For sure they will enjoy it thank you again konjo🥰
Am so happy you like it dear 🌼💚💛❤️🌼
This is the life I want. Once I exit babylon, I want rural village life, not city. Yah bless that sweet hard-working donkey 🤗😍
You look beautiful as always, my sister inlaw 😘
Thank You for such a fantastic educational vlog Yodit. Bless you.
08:24--I think it is called winnowing the grain, separating the grain itself from the outer part, called the chaff. btw, thanks also for the word of the day, "konjo". Also picked up "wefcho" the mill. These videos show us so many things at so many levels, thanks to your comments.
chaff is a bit larger, almost like a straw. the proper term for ''bewenfit menfat'' is sifting, which is separating unwanted particles from the powder. :)
@@danieltessema4270 Thanks for the clarification, Mr. Tessema.
Theres really nothing wrong with this way of living. As long as people arent starving and are happy thats all that matters👍🏿
Eyedaduin bedeinb beqetai asayin? Love it KEEP up
Another wonderful show showing the world our Rich culture
I can tell you will accomplish your goal very soon from your job..Keep doing the good work
Thank you so much darling
Your grandma is so very konjo, so that is why you are too.
Hi my dear friend It's nice to see the treditional food processing... And mixture of grains it's good and say hi👋 to Mama... ♥️ With love and respect, and the music is unique..
Thank you for my word of the day 😘💗💗 I am practicing that click I heard when you say konjo.
This is so step back into the past girlfriends.
In a way I like this ancient way of life. You can only do so much in a day. Today we in the great USA, we don't have to do this part anymore but it means doing so much more work in a day.
Here I can launder clothes, dry clothes, wash dishes, prepare a meal, do my hair, shower, vacuum or sweep. Whew....all in the time it takes for you to do that one thing. Plus we have the children and we have to work outside the home on a 8 hours job. ( What did we need the man for?) 😂 Lol.
I really think that way is hard life. But I know this way is too busy to enjoy the simplest things.
Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely
Good document. Thx Habesha for that! Konjo you... :)

Oh the Donky is carrying 180kg my god it is to much.i know how heavy is 100kg.
Great video! Is there a place I can take a tour group to see how injera is made?
Where are you based? Lots of Ethiopian restaurant are willing to show customers the process and search the process on UA-cam to Enjare
@@Black-lioness I’m bringing a tour group to Addis and I wanted to add that to the itinerary. A UA-cam video will not work
There is this restaurant called kateña there branch in unity park and in entoto park they show how to make enjera and you can also make one yourself.
Thank you for the authentic video! Can you share the link of the song in the video please?

In Europe we have had mills that run either by water or wind power for over 2000 years 😂
Windmills were uncommon in Ethiopia until the Portuguese introduced it around the late 16th century. But, watermills existed even before that (probably introduced from another European country). Majority of people, however, relied on the ancient inefficient methods until very recently.
How come you missed the fact that the donkey is a boy 😂
