- Capital One High Yield Savings Account - My 1 Year Experience . So I Opened The 360 Performance Savings account from Capital One about a year Ago and Started to Deposit Some Money into This Capital One Savings Account pretty Much Consistently so here is My Experience with This Bank .
First The Process of Opening This Capital One 360 Performance Savings Account was Pretty easy and it takes just Few Minutes in The Capita One Mobile app . Then after I Set Up the Account I Added My Wife as a Joint Account holder . This step was pretty easy to and Capital One Let me add it from The Contacts on The phone by Sending Invitation Link into The Savings Account . There was Just One more Step and that was to Add The Checking Account ( from My Local Bank ) to Link it together with The 360 Performance Savings Account and Once Set & Done I Was Able do Do The First transfer. The Actual Transfer Money Process is Super easy , You Just Click from Which Account to Which account You Want to Transfer the Money too and Once You Click Submit The Transaction will Process for Few Days However The Interest will Start Counting Earlier , which for me is Usually The 2nd. Business Day - The Good thing about it is that The Interest is Counted Daily so You can actually see it Growing every day and then It's deposited Monthly in The Beginning of The Month Plus Compounded Monthly too so The Money can Grow Nicely . Overall I'm Very Happy with this Capital One High Yield Savings Account . it's easy to use and Very Transparent with All transactions Clearly Visible on The Mobile Capital One App or Computer and Even Though there is Higher Interest High Yield Savings Accounts there but with The Easy to use Interface of This Account and Overall experience this Account Works for me .

Thank you, you were the 1st person to break it down where it made sense 😊

Thank you!! Straightforward video!
Sure You’re Welcome , glad You liked it
I am thinking of opening a 360 savings, this video is very helpful.
That’s Your decision obviously but We’re definitely happy with it so far , I’m glad the video is helpful
excellent information from first hand experience. Much better than a someone talking about 7 banks that they they have no experience with, but just read information about.
Thank You and I’m glad You like the video , true I’m just trying to share things from my experience on this channel generally.
Wow amazing video dude. I was thinking of opening this account…. My only question is the % is placed once the money is in the account? Like you don’t need to place self account to activate it? One more thing do you also have checking account for this bank? I want to see if the checking plus having a credit card is worth it? I have more questions as well would be nice to talk to you. I do have a meeting with them on Friday.
So no I don’t have a checking account with Capital one , only with Chase . The interest ( daily ) is usually counted after 2nd business day however it will be deposited ONLY once a month I don’t understand this other Question with needing to place self account??? I don’t know what that means but they will obviously verify the info with Your phone number etc. thank You and Good Luck .
@@VideoMotivators I understand now. Thank you!
Sure Anytime 👍
Thank you so much for such a great video. I have a question, when you open the capital one saving account, when you input your other bank information does it have to take it from checking or can it be from the saving account of other bank?
I’m not exactly sure but I think it should be a checking account, if I find out I’ll reply again but I believe it has to be a checking account, thank You
@@VideoMotivators awesome thank you so much!
Sure , anytime
@@VideoMotivators once you open the high yield saving account, and let’s say it’s open for 6 months. How do you go about withdrawing amounts? Do you transfer back to your original saving count to be able and withdrawal?
Like I’ve said it’s most likely checking account but yes You just simply transfer the money back to Your original checking account, I transferred few thousand dollars few times , one of the transfers was for 8000$ in just one transaction so it’s easy for sure . It takes about 4-5 days usually, just keep that in mind
Thank you Sir 👍🏽🙂
Sure You’re Welcome, anytime
No need to spend too much time on this. At the end of the day, most banks offer a savings interest rate between 4 and 5% per year as of today. With a $100,000 deposit, it only makes a difference of $1000 between a bank offering 4% and a bank offering 5%. So, it doesn't really matter what bank you choose. Choose based on features of their app or online portal and, if you care, whether they have a physical branch near your where you live. That's it. The harder thing is to get lots of money to put in the account.
That is very true but still I just wanted to make this video , that’s why I use Capital one even though it has ( today ) the interest rate of 4.35% compared to some banks with over 5% . Thats exactly for the reasons You mentioned. I appreciate it
oh.... $1000 is huge difference
@@toyslife4311 I agree , it is huge difference for most of us . Thanks
Not true. Try Chase or BofA. Lucky with 0.01%.
Oh, so you think that $1000 is not a significant amount of money? In that case, you may send me that $1000 interest. Thank you. 😊
❤❤❤
Thanks 👍
How many checking & savings accounts you have with other institutions in total?
We have 2 additional savings accounts and total of 2 checking accounts but We keep 85-90% of our total money in Capital One High yield savings account since it pays nice interest
@@VideoMotivatorsAwesome, I have Capital One 360 savings & checking great hybrid brick & mortar and high yield savings. I also have Amex savings for my long term emergency fund it’s out of sight and out of mind so I am tempted to get money out of it.
How do I open the bank account for my child I have the 360 performance for myself but want to do the same for my child . Thank you
The 360 Performances savings account can’t really be opened for a child , so what I did is We opened the second account on my wife’s and my name again however we just Nick named it Chris’s savings so we know that it’s my son’s savings account.
If I want to transfer money from this account to my Bank of America checking, will there be a charge?
No , there is no charges when You transfer the money in either direction.
@@VideoMotivators awesome. Thanks so much for this video!
Sure You’re Welcome, anytime
Bofa is a really bad bank….
@@colin2332 what Bofa????? I’m talking about Capital One Bank but I’m assuming You’re referring to Bank of America? Well I don’t know much about it because I don’t have any accounts with them
Do you receive a debit card in the mail after opening a capital one 360 performance savings account?
I don’t think that there is any debit card , as far as I know . You transfer the money between Your local bank’s checking account and Capital One’s 360 Performance savings account. So if You need to take the money out You would need to transfer it back to Your regular checking account first and then You take the money out from your checking account in your local bank or by using Your Checking account’s ATM card . This is ON line bank only so there are no local branches for Capital One
Thanks for the info
