@charlesramsey7847 Maybe go and see a pharmacist. I was going to say GP, but that's a ridiculous thing to say. Pharmacists are very knowledgeable and might be able to advise 😊 Do not touch it.....
@rich9658 Yup..Agree with the Lysine. Im a nightmare at remembering to take it regularly. I've suffered from my teens and if I take Lysine I can go a very long time without an out break. Amazing stuff. ❤️ Also I take a course of Aciclovir once a year.
I get cold sores when I get a fever.. yeah they suck!... There's an ointment that's been around for a long time called Blue Star ointment.. it sure as hell works for me!!.. before applying ointment rinse with distilled vinegar or hydrogen peroxide.
As soon as I feel a cold sore coming, I put ice on it. I put a piece or two of ice in a plastic baggie and keep it on my lip until the ice melts completely. You also don’t want to mess with the burgeoning cold sore, like don’t rub your tongue on it or purse your lips together. Just ice it and act like it’s not there, and it ALWAYS goes away before it ever surfaces. This time, however, I’m visiting Grandma, and she has no ice, so my cold sore has already risen and blistered over. Good thing I’m on vacation for a couple weeks. Hoping it goes away before I have to go back to work.
Moisturize the lips with Shea butter or Vaseline. I cannot impress upon everyone the importance of moisturizing the lips after using the medicine cream!! I heal sooooo much faster when I keep my lips moisturized.

@@nutanvatts5120 get water on your fingertip, sprinkle baking soda on your finger, apply to canker with your finger, might be a bit uncomfortable but try to keep the baking soda on the canker for a few minutes, then spit it out, don't rinse your mouth out for a few minutes if you can, tastes kinda gross but works the best, works fast usually within a day or 2. If I accidentally bite my cheek or something, I just put baking soda on it to avoid a canker. I hope this helps! Get well soon! :)
Oh bologna. I usually just take a razor and shave it off I don't mind if it hurts. It'll bleed some but oh well. Then I might put some salve on it. Sometimes I just keep it dry and let it scab over it heals faster that way.

However the itch last night was so unbearable, I thought about popping the blister. One thing I had on hand was something called campho phenique. This is what stopped the unbearable itch and pain. So now I’m using both. One for treating the virus, one for relieving the pain/ itch.
Tea tree oil works for me. If I catch it on the tingle, it stops it in its track. Suffered from a very young age. 😞

Sounds odd, but I rub ketchup on a lip cold sore & on or inside if a nose sore. Amazingly works great!
