I have just watched this fantastic video i have always loved miniatures , but this was an amazing museum, I want to live in there ! Lol .thank you so much for sharing!
I could have watched this all day! I may never get there to see it in person but "riveting" was the perefct word. I will be watching this again just in case I missed something. Thanks to Kaye for the tour.
This is awesome! As a member of the Kentucky Gateway Museum Center which houses the KSB Miniatures Gallery I visit several times a week and have done so for several years. I very seldom visit the museum even when volunteering there without visiting the miniature gallery. I have my favorite pieces which includes the fully functional Swiss Army knife and the houses by Nole and Pat Thomas. Their specialty when building houses was to give them that lived in look. Southbend even has a grease spot on the ceiling above the kitchen stove and the paint is worn off of the exterior steps. The highlight of my vacation in 2019 was meeting several miniature artisans at the Scaled to Perfection Gala Mrs. Browning held at the museum. Even though I don't live in Kentucky, I live only thirteen miles from the museum. It's definitely worth the trip from anywhere to visit the museum
Gorgeous miniatures, Kaye! 👏 Hope you all get to see the mother/daughter team who mudlark and make miniatures from their finds (ua-cam.com/video/UFGlNXeZ20E/v-deo.html), as I feel like they are just as amazing in their own way. You all are so inspiring and I thank you D. Thomas, for bringing us into these teeny worlds. 🥰
