- Some of the earliest sakura in downtown Tokyo can be found on a lovely backstreet in Nihonbashi, near Fukutoku Shrine. These are known as kawazu sakura, and are a lovely bright pink color.

Summer Is also flowery, and autumn with its rainbow colors is also a captivating palette, only winter, with the majestic white fills us with hope until we reach spring again. Moving here 6yrs ago was the best decision I ever made. Even during this pandemic the resilience is amazing. I think about if I remained in the states how I would be sitting in my over priced apartment in fort green Brooklyn stressing out. Going to go fly international and local hop’s under pressure with unruly passengers. Now a simple cargo airline no passengers and a crew of 4. I still get to travel the planet but the best thing is landing back in Tokyo to enjoy this beautiful city the culture, food, the amazing people I have met and become friends with and so many other things the list would be to long. I’m never leaving this is home.

When I lived in Mexico City, I enjoyed the blossom of Jacaranda very much. The purple trees adorning the streets were really wonderful. My friend said they were "Mexican sakura."

学校の校庭、近所の河原、ちょっとした通り、探さずとも見掛けるのが桜ですよね。学校の新学期が4月なのもあってか満開の桜を見て、もちろん綺麗だとは思うんですけど、それよりも出会いと別れの季節なんだなぁと少し甘酸っぱい気持ちが先にきます。
