Good call on gasket MR. L. LS if I remember right had an o ring with a clamp. Similar situation this morning just getting ready to drop my 6L80 pan to get at my TCM to get it flashed. Fun. I'm gonna use flared brake line unions down near frame and make separate lines up to proportioning valve.
Hey do you know where i can get repop side moldings for a 4 door 63 impala? Ive been googling and coming up with nothing. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
It was 34 here yesterday morning.................... They do make a softer brake line which helps if you need a bigger size. The lines came out very nice. You do need the oil pump gasket, your pressure would not be very good. It's to bad most of the work on the frame gets cover up. Small crew for this job. Been busy the past 2 weeks, update you later.

Call fuel pressure regulator is going to be at the fuel rail on the engine so you’ll have a supply line up and then you’ll have a return line back to the tank
Why do you keep saying that you don’t think the oil pickup tube needed that gasket? Do you know something the engineers didn’t? Do you really want to get all the way to running the motor and have issues all over a 5$ gasket?
I could send you the picture I took of the pickup tube and oil pan that I took if you'd like. When you see the picture you will wonder is there a need of a gasket...
@@lonestarlows no I don’t need a pic, did a 5.3 and now doing a full tear down ls1 for my impala. Some things on can look to be unessential on these motors but when it comes to the time and money spent to build them cheapin out on your oil system isn’t the place to do it. Granted, the pick up tube designs could be better as far as the mounting is concerned. I back mine up with a bracket from ict to mount two bolts into holding it down so at least if pressure issues do arise you could easily make a confident assumption its not your pick up tube. As you have seen nobody wants to rip the motor back out to check out the gasket or o ring. No hate, love your channel and your builds are stellar
@phildoleebowitz5335 thanks man. Yeah. I really dreaded pulling the engine again over a 5 dollar gasket, but I can sleep better now. There's no way to pull this drive train out without damaging something once the car is together. Would have to tear the whole front clip down
Dam thats a clean roller love 60s impala

Them Roadstars….yummy…
🥰😒🥰🥰🥰
What's the name of those knock offs? 👍🏾
Roadstar, by roadster wire wheels. Long out of business. Probably 25yrs
@@lonestarlows thanks I remember those as a kid. Those spinners are bad ass. Does Dayton have a similar style with the grooves?
@Harlo86 they used to. They don't anymore. There's still some nos sets floating around but not many. They call them fluted
