Or, at the very least, that was the main story arc for the series that they had, more or less, planned from the beginning. My guess is that they knew Chuck was going to be God early on, but I can't be sure. Obviously they knew he was God before the end of season five.
Oh boy! I didn't know that! but it has to be coincidence, bcz they were going to finish the show in season five and conveying that Cas is God and then they changed the ending.

I mean how Dakara said..they're his children,they'd know him. And there had to be a reason why they are like they are. Lucifer probably wasn't messed up from the start and neither was Michael. They're both neglected children with trauma inflicted by Chuck who gives a flying F about it because he can literally do whatever he wants.
Dean not killing Jack means so much to the show. It shows such character development. It’s a final and complete rejection of the way John raised Sam and Dean. He raised them with one mission: kill the creature that killed their mom. Avenging their mom was the original source of all their trauma. By not killing Jack, Dean is rejecting that mindset and trauma. Instead, Dean embraces the family that he, Sam and Cas chose. They chose love and free will. This choice is fully solidified when Dean does not exchange Jack for Mary. It’s a beautiful statement of love, family and free will. I love it. I’m not saying Mary wasn’t family; she most definitely was. I’m referring to what she symbolized in terms of John and the boys’ upbringing

That’s a very similar mindset to what happened in this season. What I was saying is that Dean rejected that by not killing Jack, because he loves him as a part of the family no matter how much he was mad or wanted revenge for Mary
The best finale in 15 years, period. Purely for the last 15 minutes alone. The music that played when Sams running through the graveyard, gave me chills, amazing. And the revelation that chuck had been writing their whole lives? Amazing. It’s the biggest villain I never saw coming. And the song at the end, “God was never on your side” how fitting. When chuck did what he did to Jack, my response was the exact same as yours 😔 and in terms of what was it like, the wait time in real time? I watched all of season 14 but did not watch Moriah till the day before season 15 started. I highly, highly recommend you watch the “believe “ trailer on UA-cam, it’s a recap of the first 14 seasons……and I cried.
agree! i never expected this plot twist but since the show basically repeated over and over how unforgiving and cruel God is, it totally fits, in retrospective.

It's very fitting end to an Epic Series. This series needed an EPIC build up for the end, and if I'm very honest it's good they ended how they did. It would of made very anticlimactic if they would of started to explain what happened to everyone in that series. No "what or where is Crowley and why that is the case. Lucifer didn't actually die, stay tuned" . Those Ki da endings cheapen the show too much. Loved the series. Hard to find a good replacement for it, even if we have season 6 still on Lucifer series.

He's understandable if you keep in mind that as a celestial he doesn't understand the rawness of human emotions, and so doesn't understand why his actions here (and his historical neglectfulness) are wrong. He thinks of a great story the way we think of a great love, whether of a sibling, a lover, or a friend. I'd like to believe that it's the happiest possible ending Chuck could get. He has a chance to do the one thing he never could have before: truly understand Sam and Dean's perspective. The human perspective.
I think a lot of the reason Sam kinda lets Dean do his thing even when he's stubborn about stuff is because he understands that Dean kinda needs to take his time to process things. Sam is usually pretty level-headed, but Dean has to take time to calm down and work with stuff.
I can never not get chills when Sam goes “Hey Chuck!” and shoots him in the chest. At the very moment you have no idea what’s about to go down, it’s so tense

Dakara you should definitely react to, or at least watch, the "Believe" trailer before beginning S15. it's basically a series recap and it's just a very well put together trailer showing everything the Winchesters have done in the series leading up to S15.

From my understanding, most people knew that season fifteen was the last season near the end of season fourteen. The "welcome to the end" quote is pretty perfect.
God was never on your side~ the epicness there. This is my favorite season finale on the whole show. The ultimate absent father, the final boss, it was god all along. Things got SO META here. He really wants that sad shocking ending for his favorite characters, the rewatch value after this! Knowing that the game was fixed by god from the beggining.

Yeah, the transition maybe wasn't the smoothest but it's a fitting way of bringing the long running meta-aspect together with the ever-escalating (or at least widely ranged) big bads and of course the core concept about fighting various tall tales and thus, well.. believed things. It's a long way from urban legends but then again.. it is what it is. In practical terms at least. :D
9:35 must admit, this was chilling when I first saw it. i did think cas would do the "Shield your eyes" to show his true form and burn them all but someone else suggested that he couldn't do that because he didn't have enough angel juice
I absolutely loved this finale, it was my favourite. Great acting, great story and great music. Alex Calvert did a fantastic job portraying Jack, especially in those last 10 minutes. Seeing Chuck killing him was saddening but that whole scene was amazing. And yes, the waiting for season 15 was excruciating. One more season! Can't wait for it!
The wait for Season 15 was terrible, but at least you get to watch it all at once. You know what was worse than waiting for S15 to start? Waiting for it to finish! A few episodes in was when COVID started and all filming for the rest of the season was put on hold. We had to wait months longer than we were supposed to just to see the last half of the season. Now THAT was truly awful!
I love this episode a lot. At first, the plot twist was so unexpected and I never thought they would make God the big bad for real, but they did. It's amazing how it all makes sense now, though. The show always painted God as this big unforgiving entity and instead it's dorky, nice Chuck instead - and then Dean smashes his guitar and Rob Benedict needs one word to appear absolutely terrifying. Superb acting. Also, the reveal was so great and Sam and Dean for once got to ask the really important questions. The meta aspect of the whole thing is so good, too. The last big bad of this story is the story itself. I LOVE THIS. Also, Lucifer and Michael were right all along. This episode transformed the fandom part that I am usually in from a collective sour mood after the very depressing episodes before that into a screaming, excited mess and I loved every second of it. We were so excited for S15. Also, Motörhead. The song made the whole ending really epic. Also, it was my father's favourite band of all time and he was really excited when I told him there was a Motörhead song in my favourite tv show. I really wanted him to watch this episode with me and wanted to suggest him including the song into the setlist of the Motörhead tribute band he was in, but I never got to do it. He died a month later. This is why this episode is special to me, too. It reminds me of my dad a lot. I spent a majority of the hiatus between this episode and the start of S15 writing stories of how I imagined S15 to go, which also helped to take my mind of me losing my dad.

The Ghostpocalypse is probably the best season ending arc ever. All the old and familiar ghosts and some cool new ones coming straight back from hell to bite them in the ass. Got some emotional scenes ahead of us, but also some badass ghost fighting ones too. 😄

Season 14 ended in April instead of the usual May. So May, June, July, Aug and Sep as the last couple of years they've premiered in Oct. So 5 month wait. FYI Dean hasn't forgotten anything.

Seasons 5 and 11 has awesome plot, (season 15 also but in my opinion not on that level) also they are so many reveals in that seasons, plot twists, in season 11 we fuckin' get God, God's sister (Amara-Darkness) and Lucifer in the same season. we knew that s15 was the last one when this episode came out. I didnt really think about Chuck being a Bad Guy all along but it all makes sense. Going into this Episode i thought Jack was gonna be the Final Big Bad in S15 and i actually thought it would not have been a wothy end. Yea Jack is powerful and all, but after killing the Devil and defeating Amara i thought Jack as a final Bad guy to end the Season didnt feel fulfilling somehow. Many didnt like the Chuck-Turn. I loved it. It all makes Sense. Every Season before being because Chuck wrote it that way. This fixed so many plotholes. Like Sam and Dean just being Unkillable or one Apocalypse after another. All made sense suddenly. I started watching your reactions about the End of S5 and somehow its sad seeing its going to an end. However: Im excited to see your final steps in this amazing Journey!
My theory is that god being evil WAS the lie. He wanted to be human, and this betrayal was a plan he came up with for jack to take the power and become the new god while he gets to live as a human
Using God himself as the vilain of the final season was a smart thing to do. I wish this plot twist wasn't spiled for me. it could be shocking as hell.
I admit that I was super excited by this. I was waiting for this showdown since Swan Song. Dean promised to come for God, next. Finally, that promise looked like it was going to come to fruition. I mean, they made everything a monster. Humans, demons, the actual monsters, and even angels were all monsters in this universe. I was perfectly primed for God to be the ultimate "supernatural piece of crap." It was a long wait, and then a pandemic hit and I was very nervous about it all.
Wouldn't it have been awesome if at some point Lucifer Morningstar had said "Honest to Chuck"? Epic crossover! After all, we're in the multiverse now, so technically anything is possible.
Agreed about best season finale. I don't know why this season is not high on peoples' list. I loved season 13, 14, & 15. I think they were the best (season 4 & 5 were also really awesome). @Rafael Cruz I hear you. And I don't want to say that this season was better than (insert season). I just felt that the introduction of Jack was refreshing. It was very fun to watch to the dynamic of the main 3 with his intro. I also LOVED!!! Rowena in this season. I think the acting was amazing. If season 14 were to be broken down and evaluated by individual episodes, then I would probably be not as impressed. I just think the flow was very good. And the funny episodes were hilarious.

Its a show we know it but we live with the character and story and It felt dark and evil... God being bad... no hope for good... I saw lot of reactions of people of this last scene...people got confused what was happening ... what God did was undone every good the show did.... The song was a perfection to the situation .... God never on human side. He created human for his own entertainment.
One thing i didn’t get with the soul thing. Losing a soul makes the human emotionless and we learned that angels doesn’t have souls but we’ve seen a lot of them love and care despite having no souls. So jack is half angel why losing his soul makes him like a soulless human why can’t he have emotions like other angels do
when angels posses humans, they develop feelings due hormones and brain activity. in case of chuck, he created feelings to tune down peoples logic, it also helped him to "feel" smarter. churches were always against science. chuck himself is pretty unemotional, he never possesed a meat suit, the irony of his downfall makes full sense, I believe he would be a more empathical if his power somehow returned. soul is apperantly an impulse in middle brain which creates some hormones that give feelings after thoughts give a result.
This is the only show that will go here with god and even dare to show a situation when god is wrong. Like the saying if you can prove that god is wrong or something people will stop believing in him or something. In any other show or movie god is absolute he's always right he knows everything. And there's times when people challenge that when told what's going to happen they say no that's not going to happen I'd never do that and its like what if they didn't do what he said they were going to do. Prove him wrong by not doing what he predicted lol. I can see that ticking him off lol. Like with Chuck. Ice seen other reactions you even said it that Chuck is like a kid lol. He's a kid and were his toys and just like a kid if he doesn't het his way or something goes wrong tantrum time. Big tantrum here lol but they were basically asking for it to end. I'm hoping this triggers an entire discussion with everyone here, as it was a HUGE discussion at Dakaras season 11 episodes 20-24, and I've been waiting MONTHS to talk about it lol. That being said, I will state that I respectfully yet full heartedly disagree with it being the best season finale. In fact, outside of shock value, it was one of the worst in regards to character development and sensibility. The reason why it was such a shock and twist is because the lead up and writing to it doesn't make sense. It doesn't connect and reason why it was well received because it is cloaked by shock value. They ruined any form of character development Chuck had just for the sake of having the "Villain of villains" since it was the last season. It's been even said that Chuck was never meant to be this form of villain and the writers who aren't even the original ones are the ones that brought it together. And it shows. Having the audience forget everything Chuck did in a positive sense is really unfortunate. I mean think about it. Chuck was willing to cage himself for the sake of keeping Earth (Specifically this Earth) alive from Amara and now he's willing to just throw it away because he's bored? What about the discussion WITH Amara about creation and Love? And now jumping to this episode, he starts acting like a child being bored with his toys? It literally makes no sense. Go back and watch those final four episodes in Season 11. See how Chucks demeanor was. Completely different. For him to completely do a 180 and having the us have to believe he was "Acting" the whole time, is a large stretch for us to believe. But since it was a twist and wasn't seen, people thought it was great. And Chuck is all knowing and it was stated he was many times. He controls time and space and he didn't see this coming? Now all of a sudden we are seeing holes in God being all knowing for the sake of making episodes interesting. Sorry I don't buy it. Without giving spoilers, after the finale season this show is still my favorite of all time. And enjoyed the writing of the finales. But I'll always scratch my head about how they screwed Chucks character over here. Because he was a Loved character until now.
Jack essentially unilaterally ruined this show. Introducing him in the first place was an utterly brain dead idea. Then again, Supernatural really *should* have ended after season five, as Kripke intended; it would have been the greatest series of all time, if it weren't carrying the baggage of all the schlock from later seasons...
On a lighter note, yes, Celion Dion is a badass and my respect for Sam only increases for knowing that- thankyou Dean Winchester. This episode truly had left me feeling utterly baffled in a state of confusion mixed with thrill and such, profound anger for Jack (and Cas's reaction- which, I DIDN'T need). The thing that jars me about this season is how, villainously the writers thread together this family, only to start pulling it with such force and that fact that- in a sense, that is reflected through Chuck's character now...how bloody ironic and intriguing. Now, the scene where i too beamed with pride for Cas standing his ground with Dean- that shows such a necessary character growth cause, you're right, Sam does give Dean's behavior a high amount of leeway; and that (i believe) is a mixture of the person Sam is and that he has a different understanding and acceptance of his older brother. That being said, Cas, after years of knowing him through a different sense and having been comprehensive and compassionate for his actions- as his father, he would put Jack first. Him walking away, you can tell it hurt them both but, it was important. Now, Jack- my smol bean- this is all of what he did not deserve cause...i say again, he. is. a. kid. Ironically enough, the depth with which he (tries now) to feel his emotions is close to how Dean does- just, with the expression freedom he's learnt from the safety of this family and for Chuck to take that away...yeah, the hiatus between this and the next season; the writers were cruel. Lastly, your reaction to when Sam shot the gun- i remember having to pause the episode and just take a breather cause i had little desire to see what was going to happen...and then i HAD to know cause, of course, of course he would. They all mean so much to each other and i- i cannot wait for you to see how that will now pan out...in the final season...just, good luck.
Chuck’s behavior is so out of character and forced in this episode… he has controlled everything perfectly, and now he suddenly goes out of his way to start yelling at them things are not going like he wants? And why aren’t things going in his way? Everything has gone his way up until this point. They could have done this more naturally
Supernatural last season was season 11, after that the cringe leftist extremists in Hollywood who h8 religion, especially Christianity took over....im an atheist and even i thought this was too much h8 and change from chuck...it was pure politically motivated
Gods biggest mistake was insulting Sam in front of Dean, then he said he would bring Mary back, after that Dean sided with this brother because in the end, the truth of it is, God was never on their side.

He's understandable if you keep in mind that as a celestial he doesn't understand the rawness of human emotions, and so doesn't understand why his actions here (and his historical neglectfulness) are wrong. He thinks of a great story the way we think of a great love, whether of a sibling, a lover, or a friend.
I'd like to believe that it's the happiest possible ending Chuck could get. He has a chance to do the one thing he never could have before: truly understand Sam and Dean's perspective. The human perspective.
I think a lot of the reason Sam kinda lets Dean do his thing even when he's stubborn about stuff is because he understands that Dean kinda needs to take his time to process things. Sam is usually pretty level-headed, but Dean has to take time to calm down and work with stuff.
I can never not get chills when Sam goes “Hey Chuck!” and shoots him in the chest. At the very moment you have no idea what’s about to go down, it’s so tense

Dakara you should definitely react to, or at least watch, the "Believe" trailer before beginning S15. it's basically a series recap and it's just a very well put together trailer showing everything the Winchesters have done in the series leading up to S15.

This is one of the few series that’s actually better the 2nd time watching it.
From my understanding, most people knew that season fifteen was the last season near the end of season fourteen. The "welcome to the end" quote is pretty perfect.
God was never on your side~ the epicness there. This is my favorite season finale on the whole show. The ultimate absent father, the final boss, it was god all along. Things got SO META here. He really wants that sad shocking ending for his favorite characters, the rewatch value after this! Knowing that the game was fixed by god from the beggining.

Yeah, the transition maybe wasn't the smoothest but it's a fitting way of bringing the long running meta-aspect together with the ever-escalating (or at least widely ranged) big bads and of course the core concept about fighting various tall tales and thus, well.. believed things. It's a long way from urban legends but then again.. it is what it is. In practical terms at least. :D
9:35 must admit, this was chilling when I first saw it. i did think cas would do the "Shield your eyes" to show his true form and burn them all but someone else suggested that he couldn't do that because he didn't have enough angel juice
I absolutely loved this finale, it was my favourite. Great acting, great story and great music. Alex Calvert did a fantastic job portraying Jack, especially in those last 10 minutes. Seeing Chuck killing him was saddening but that whole scene was amazing. And yes, the waiting for season 15 was excruciating. One more season! Can't wait for it!
Poor Jack. He's always talking about zombies and hopes to see one and when they are actually attacked by real zombies for once he's dead.

The wait for Season 15 was terrible, but at least you get to watch it all at once. You know what was worse than waiting for S15 to start? Waiting for it to finish! A few episodes in was when COVID started and all filming for the rest of the season was put on hold. We had to wait months longer than we were supposed to just to see the last half of the season. Now THAT was truly awful!
I love this episode a lot. At first, the plot twist was so unexpected and I never thought they would make God the big bad for real, but they did. It's amazing how it all makes sense now, though. The show always painted God as this big unforgiving entity and instead it's dorky, nice Chuck instead - and then Dean smashes his guitar and Rob Benedict needs one word to appear absolutely terrifying. Superb acting. Also, the reveal was so great and Sam and Dean for once got to ask the really important questions. The meta aspect of the whole thing is so good, too. The last big bad of this story is the story itself. I LOVE THIS. Also, Lucifer and Michael were right all along.
This episode transformed the fandom part that I am usually in from a collective sour mood after the very depressing episodes before that into a screaming, excited mess and I loved every second of it. We were so excited for S15.
Also, Motörhead. The song made the whole ending really epic. Also, it was my father's favourite band of all time and he was really excited when I told him there was a Motörhead song in my favourite tv show. I really wanted him to watch this episode with me and wanted to suggest him including the song into the setlist of the Motörhead tribute band he was in, but I never got to do it. He died a month later.
This is why this episode is special to me, too. It reminds me of my dad a lot. I spent a majority of the hiatus between this episode and the start of S15 writing stories of how I imagined S15 to go, which also helped to take my mind of me losing my dad.

The Ghostpocalypse is probably the best season ending arc ever. All the old and familiar ghosts and some cool new ones coming straight back from hell to bite them in the ass. Got some emotional scenes ahead of us, but also some badass ghost fighting ones too. 😄

Seasons 5 and 11 has awesome plot, (season 15 also but in my opinion not on that level) also they are so many reveals in that seasons, plot twists, in season 11 we fuckin' get God, God's sister (Amara-Darkness) and Lucifer in the same season. I didnt really think about Chuck being a Bad Guy all along but it all makes sense.
Going into this Episode i thought Jack was gonna be the Final Big Bad in S15 and i actually thought it would not have been a wothy end.
Yea Jack is powerful and all, but after killing the Devil and defeating Amara i thought Jack as a final Bad guy to end the Season didnt feel fulfilling somehow.
Many didnt like the Chuck-Turn. I loved it. It all makes Sense. Every Season before being because Chuck wrote it that way. This fixed so many plotholes. Like Sam and Dean just being Unkillable or one Apocalypse after another. All made sense suddenly.

What is amazing is the first episode Chuck was ever introduced was titled "The Monster at the End of this book".
My theory is that god being evil WAS the lie. He wanted to be human, and this betrayal was a plan he came up with for jack to take the power and become the new god while he gets to live as a human

I admit that I was super excited by this. I was waiting for this showdown since Swan Song. Dean promised to come for God, next. Finally, that promise looked like it was going to come to fruition. I mean, they made everything a monster. Humans, demons, the actual monsters, and even angels were all monsters in this universe. I was perfectly primed for God to be the ultimate "supernatural piece of crap." It was a long wait, and then a pandemic hit and I was very nervous about it all.
Wouldn't it have been awesome if at some point Lucifer Morningstar had said "Honest to Chuck"? Epic crossover! After all, we're in the multiverse now, so technically anything is possible.

Agreed about best season finale. I don't know why this season is not high on peoples' list. I loved season 13, 14, & 15. I think they were the best (season 4 & 5 were also really awesome). @Rafael Cruz I hear you. And I don't want to say that this season was better than (insert season). I just felt that the introduction of Jack was refreshing. It was very fun to watch to the dynamic of the main 3 with his intro. I also LOVED!!! Rowena in this season. I think the acting was amazing. If season 14 were to be broken down and evaluated by individual episodes, then I would probably be not as impressed. I just think the flow was very good. And the funny episodes were hilarious.

I wasn't a fan of season 14 because the Michael stuff didn't last as long as I wanted to.
Its a show we know it but we live with the character and story and It felt dark and evil... God being bad... no hope for good...

One thing i didn’t get with the soul thing. Losing a soul makes the human emotionless and we learned that angels doesn’t have souls but we’ve seen a lot of them love and care despite having no souls. So jack is half angel why losing his soul makes him like a soulless human why can’t he have emotions like other angels do
when angels posses humans, they develop feelings due hormones and brain activity. in case of chuck, he created feelings to tune down peoples logic, it also helped him to "feel" smarter. churches were always against science. chuck himself is pretty unemotional, he never possesed a meat suit, the irony of his downfall makes full sense, I believe he would be a more empathical if his power somehow returned. soul is apperantly an impulse in middle brain which creates some hormones that give feelings after thoughts give a result.
This is the only show that will go here with god and even dare to show a situation when god is wrong. Like the saying if you can prove that god is wrong or something people will stop believing in him or something. In any other show or movie god is absolute he's always right he knows everything. And there's times when people challenge that when told what's going to happen they say no that's not going to happen I'd never do that and its like what if they didn't do what he said they were going to do. Prove him wrong by not doing what he predicted lol. I can see that ticking him off lol. Like with Chuck. Ice seen other reactions you even said it that Chuck is like a kid lol. He's a kid and were his toys and just like a kid if he doesn't het his way or something goes wrong tantrum time. Big tantrum here lol but they were basically asking for it to end. When's it going to be over??? Lol Lucifer did same thing having a tantrum wanting to break all gods toys lol. That was a long wait lol. We knew. At first they said they had plans that'll take them to season twenty two cw wanted it but then they were like nope the show runners and stars were ready for it to end just like the characters and maybe Chuck lol. Though its his favorite show he probably knew it doesn't have too much more to go lol. This has happened before over and over for him so he should have known it was almost over again lol. Just leave Chuck. This was best one yet so go on make a new world chances are that'll be better than this one lol. Seems like they getting better and better ain't it lol. Bye bye Chuck just leave. I'm hoping this triggers an entire discussion with everyone here, as it was a HUGE discussion at Dakaras season 11 episodes 20-24, and I've been waiting MONTHS to talk about it lol. That being said, I will state that I respectfully yet full heartedly disagree with it being the best season finale. In fact, outside of shock value, it was one of the worst in regards to character development and sensibility.
The reason why it was such a shock and twist is because the lead up and writing to it doesn't make sense. It doesn't connect and reason why it was well received because it is cloaked by shock value. They ruined any form of character development Chuck had just for the sake of having the "Villain of villains" since it was the last season. It's been even said that Chuck was never meant to be this form of villain and the writers who aren't even the original ones are the ones that brought it together. And it shows.
Having the audience forget everything Chuck did in a positive sense is really unfortunate. I mean think about it. Chuck was willing to cage himself for the sake of keeping Earth (Specifically this Earth) alive from Amara and now he's willing to just throw it away because he's bored? What about the discussion WITH Amara about creation and Love? And now jumping to this episode, he starts acting like a child being bored with his toys? It literally makes no sense.
Go back and watch those final four episodes in Season 11. See how Chucks demeanor was. Completely different. For him to completely do a 180 and having the us have to believe he was "Acting" the whole time, is a large stretch for us to believe. But since it was a twist and wasn't seen, people thought it was great.
And Chuck is all knowing and it was stated he was many times. He controls time and space and he didn't see this coming? Now all of a sudden we are seeing holes in God being all knowing for the sake of making episodes interesting. Sorry I don't buy it.
Without giving spoilers, after the finale season this show is still my favorite of all time. And enjoyed the writing of the finales. But I'll always scratch my head about how they screwed Chucks character over here. Because he was a Loved character until now.
Jack essentially unilaterally ruined this show. Introducing him in the first place was an utterly brain dead idea. Then again, Supernatural really *should* have ended after season five, as Kripke intended; it would have been the greatest series of all time, if it weren't carrying the baggage of all the schlock from later seasons...
Little lies keep the world going just because the world is already torn apart by sin and needs it to remain even minimally "normal".

On a lighter note, yes, Celion Dion is a badass and my respect for Sam only increases for knowing that- thankyou Dean Winchester. This episode truly had left me feeling utterly baffled in a state of confusion mixed with thrill and such, profound anger for Jack (and Cas's reaction- which, I DIDN'T need). The thing that jars me about this season is how, villainously the writers thread together this family, only to start pulling it with such force and that fact that- in a sense, that is reflected through Chuck's character now...how bloody ironic and intriguing.
Now, the scene where i too beamed with pride for Cas standing his ground with Dean- that shows such a necessary character growth cause, you're right, Sam does give Dean's behavior a high amount of leeway; and that (i believe) is a mixture of the person Sam is and that he has a different understanding and acceptance of his older brother. That being said, Cas, after years of knowing him through a different sense and having been comprehensive and compassionate for his actions- as his father, he would put Jack first. Him walking away, you can tell it hurt them both but, it was important.
Now, Jack- my smol bean- this is all of what he did not deserve cause...i say again, he. is. a. kid. Ironically enough, the depth with which he (tries now) to feel his emotions is close to how Dean does- just, with the expression freedom he's learnt from the safety of this family and for Chuck to take that away...yeah, the hiatus between this and the next season; the writers were cruel.
Lastly, your reaction to when Sam shot the gun- i remember having to pause the episode and just take a breather cause i had little desire to see what was going to happen...and then i HAD to know cause, of course, of course he would. They all mean so much to each other and i- i cannot wait for you to see how that will now pan out...in the final season...just, good luck.
Chuck’s behavior is so out of character and forced in this episode… he has controlled everything perfectly, and now he suddenly goes out of his way to start yelling at them things are not going like he wants? And why aren’t things going in his way? Everything has gone his way up until this point. They could have done this more naturally
