Would these 2 products work for an (Insulin pump) infusion set to cover and protect my very sensitive skin from the irritating adhesive of the infusion set? Would it affect the needle/cannula going through and into my skin to deliver insulin?
I don't have any experience with insulin pump infusion sets, I'm sorry. They're certainly not made for this purpose. With this doubt in mind, I would recommend you don't use for this purpose.
OK, first, your blister sounds like its roof is INTACT not DEROOFED - so don't put a hydrocolloid on it. Second, it takes 6 weeks for all the remnants of dried blood and damaged skin to fully shed www.blister-prevention.com/blister-healing-time/ Thirdly, if your blister is dry or the roof is intact, it can't get infected. But you said it's "mostly dry", so I'm going to suggest you read this about infected blisters: www.blister-prevention.com/infected-blister/ Finally, If you think your blister isn't healing and instead reforming, it means you haven't nullified the blister-causing forces sufficiently. Here's what you need to know and how to do it: a) www.blister-prevention.com/what-causes-blisters-on-feet/ b) www.blister-prevention.com/every-blister-prevention-strategy/ Sorry for the long reply but hope you find this helps :)
@@Trophic-vg2cd Povidone iodine (assuming you're not allergic to iodine) and an island dressing. Do it to PREVENT it from getting infected. Read the infected blisters article.
today i was skating and my whole blister fell off it was dry skin that was easy to peel off and i see my inside skin should i cover it with something? .should i put vasaline on it
It sounds like the blister formed a week or more ago and is resolving - am I right? It takes blisters 6 weeks to fully heal. By that I mean for all the damaged skin to slowly work its way to the surface and shed. So I'd say that's what you're seeing happen. If there's no blister fluid or raw skin, DO NOT use a hydrocolloid (the subject of this video). Use an island dressing if you feel there's any tender skin that needs a bit of protection.
Thank you for this video
My pleasure 😀
