Thank you for actually clicking the MTO route and showing us the rules. No one else did that and since Odoo is very rules-based we really should understand them if we want to do anything custom.
If you want to understand the difference between MTO and Reordering Rules, you should see this video. Also, Reordering Rules can be defined at 0 quantity, so they are only triggered for an actual demand and not for stock.
thanks for the video. can you show this process also in a multicompany setting, where company A sells the product to the customer and buys it from Company B. Company B has a sales order for company A and produces the product.
