That robot waddling around the ocean floor like "don't be suspicious, don't be suspicious"
I teared up when the octopus gave thanks to his helper. We must work harder to better understand the lifeforms we share our home with. And how important it is to respect them by preserving their habitats and needs.
Surely that octopus is saying, “Wtf is this octopus made of that it didn’t even get eaten by a school of sharks while parading around on the sea floor in bright red?”
I think it was curious, the suckers are a form of taste and smell that help them process the world around them. He was like “you taste like a rock, what are you? um thanks anyway, I’m just gonna take this…”
Yes, the octopus gave thanks to his helper whom he left out to die in the open by stealing the only objects that could the him.
These documentaries are so brazen in their lying but the worst of all is the distracting fake sounds that they put in it
@@stellviahohenheim Where was it mentioned that this was a fake documentary?
The spy octopus is both cute and funny at the same time.💖🐙 The way it moves was so funny I couldn't help but laugh.🤣🤣🤣
Exactly..the movement was cute funny 😂
Like an octopus wearing stilletos 😂
I cannot…😂 how da heyl do they make all these things?? 🤯
me too😂
He’s like “damn bro you didn’t get eaten. Ummm thanks for the shell”
NOT HIM PEEKING TO CHECK IF THE SHARKS WERE GONE 😭😭😭 WHAT A CUTIE
This is fascinating. The octopus was obviously actually grateful for the help. How amazing to catch on camera.
It was curious when it realized it tasted like rubber I think…
Did you also tear up when the octopus stole the shield one octopus had to leave him out to be eaten by three sharks while he took cover with the stolen cap lol😂?
No, that wasn't obvious in the slightest; it's probably not even true. You're anthropomorphising.
@@Djellowman Anthropomorphising is a word used by people that don't understand that all creatures feel the same emotions.
@@blucat4 *Yawn* read a book, sweetie. Your wishful thinking is far removed from reality.
My eyes welled up when the octopus gave a hug to the spy octopus. Such empathy. 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
It is the one who seized it😂
A hug, more like a sign of WTF
I don't know what the octopus was thinking, but given the situation that was definitely not a hug or a sign of empathy
What's meant by welled up
Such lack of intellect on your part.
@@Photo_doctors “welled up” means to tear up (as in, getting a few tears in your eyes). 😅 Usually from emotional moments.
The spy octopus really has me cracking up. It’s like when my daughter sneaks food to our doggy😂🤣😭🫠
What an amazing critter. And so affectionate.
Sometimes. Other times very aggressive and very frightening. Many encounters where an octopus has removed, or tried to remove, goggles and breathing regulators from people’s faces.
Which also proves just how intelligent they really are. Able to understand that those things are essential to human survival underwater. Very scary creatures, especially the “giant” octopus, which reach horrifying proportions and are usually the ones involved in those attacks.
@@SPFLDAnglermy uneducated guess would be because of fear. They don’t know what those crazy humans want.
@@ApproximatelyCee uneducated indeed.
@@SPFLDAngler Would that be the Giant Pacific Octopus by any chance? I just finished a fictional story about one.
Bro he thought you were the toughest octopus.
Hes over there hiding and your just chilling in the middle of the sharks like what
Octopus: "Blessed be you, angel of Cthulhu, for having saved my life!"
i feel like the real octopus knew that the spy was fake
Yes I completely agree. I found this from google.. They actually can smell and taste. That helps the octopus tell there's no snail inside this shell. Hundreds of suckers tasting and smelling, and flexible arms moving every which way, create a huge amount of information -- a lot for the octopus' central brain to process. So each arm has a mind of its own.
Agreed! They're smarter than cats, and cats can tell that a stuffed animal is fake, after sniffing and pawing at it a few times. Octopus was probably thinking "hmm.... You're a bit strange... You must be an alien.... Well, thanks anyway." 😆
This is amazing to see how compassionate animals can be. A true sign of intellect.
it's amazing how gullible some people can be
A true sign on a lack of intellect on your part.
@@stellviahohenheim It's amazing how blind some people can be, to the intelligence and emotion of other creatures.
Everybody's talking about how intelligent and grateful the octopus is, and I'm here chuckling at the shark who was all, " You jerk! I was gonna eat that! Have a face full of sand!" Blame is a sign of intelligence too! 😂
Hahaha 😂
That spy octopus reminds me of that fake lady in the Mars attack movie, chewing gum and creep walking with a big blond wig. 😂
oh both octopuses are so cute! The robot one and the real one. I kept smiling when I looked at them.
Such an interesting and unexpectedly wholesome video! I love the gratitude that the octopus showed at the end, they really are intelligent species! I also love that the octopus closed up the coconut in order to hide, that was pretty smart. May that octopus live a happy life
If you enjoyed this and have Netflix, I cannot recommend highly enough _My Octopus Teacher._ I watched it three times in a row, and just writing this makes me want to watch it again. Mary Rose Kent says two massive thumbs up!
Thanks, it's on my list... I'll watch it soon thanks to you 🙏🏼
@@OMtNI
Please let me know your thoughts on it.
You’re the best , thank you .. will definitely watch it
I got netflix just to watch it. It was an absolutely fantastic documentary.
@@RedBroski
I’m so glad you liked it. I found it utterly fascinating and amazing. I’m going to be really busy for the next week or so, but I’ll likely watch it a few more times after that.
That last part is really heart-warming. I'm not really in to marine life, but this is really calming.
Maybe the octopus wasn't stealing the coconut shell but realized the spy cam was offering it 🥺
I just melted when i saw the octobot waddle over with its coconut helmet
If Octopus 🐙 could breathe air we would be doomed. They are incredibly intelligent.
Doomed to eat them maybe. The poor guys would be scorched by the sun, harassed by ants and insects. Almost all except herbivores would see them as free protein and omega-3. There is a reason why they live in the sea, on land they have 0% chance, except for the shores where they jump out and run small distances to ambush crabs. But thats about it.
We just gonna ignore how the shark threw a whole god dammit at the end. That sand splash was personal 😂
What a help by spy octopus ❤and the funny at same time when he walked 😂
They basically give hugs to thank their friends, that's so cute 🥲
Spy octopus little walk is so cute
Why look for alien life forms on Mars when they are right here. So sweet and intelligent. I could watch them all day.
So cute his friends with spy octopus 🐙 😍
😮😮🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊
That was so sweet
He wasn’t self centered and only worried about himself. He made sure to thank the fake one after the ordeal but before he said that’s mine I’ll take it and thank you lol
Delusional
He really had to shell out for that er...shelter😂and gave it a hug 😂is the spy camera ok it walks funny!!!😁
Man, that took a while until I recognized one is no real octopus.
😄 Same for me when I saw the cuttlefish one, first spy one. I thought, Damn, they've strapped a plastic shell onto a cuttlefish! 😄
this is so cute, the little hug in the end 😭
The 10th and 14th Doctor doing the voice work for this, makes me feel good
I knew it!! 🙌
Is it really him? I thought I was just too deep in the Good Omens brainrot.
@@reginawinter6095 Yes, it is him. DT narrated quite a few of these nature series with spy cameras and robots.
Octopuses are just something else tbh.
it is really nice and cute that the poor octopus has been the "octopus-spy", it is clear that a true friend knows how to cover your "tentacles" from sharks
this can be said "He who finds a friend finds a treasure"
When that goofy spy walked out😂😂😂
Adore the octopus.❤🐙
Uh i think the "hug" at the end wasn't a hug, I think it was inspecting that wtf actually saved its life 😂
This is really enjoyable & educational thx you BBC for this program
🤔 Mmm. So we have all these very clever animatronic spy cameras filming these creatures but who's filming the spy cameras and the interaction with the real sea life? Oh, an ordinary human dive crew.
They have other spy cams that are disgusied as part of the environment like fish, birds, dung, snowball ect., which they can control.
@@parkermegan91 🙄
@@parkermegan91and who do you think put the coconut on the spy octopus… use your brain
Both clever and amazing 🐙
This was very educational. Thank you.
You could make a sitcom based on these two
Octopus left the spy robot to die in the open but at least made up for it with a hug in the end.
He stole his friends protection and left him at the mercy of the sharks. Some friend!
i have a feeling that the octopus knew that the spy wasn't real.
Hahahaha!
Survival of the fittest
Nah probably noticed it wasn’t real cuz he tasted it.
Just. Wow! Working together, what a concept!
These are the best documentaries and unstable shots in the world - thank you
The last moment was beyond imagination and feelings!
“Bro you totally saved me!”
Omg, that spy is such a cutie. Walking with it small octo legs❤❤
This has got to be my favorite clip ever 💖✨
The way he walks 🥹🥹🥹🥹🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍
mind blowing and very interesting the intelligence of so many animals that some people are completely unaware of. The earth is such a beautiful place.
Absolutely Amazing!!
Despite all the BBCs flaws and obvious biases.. it does I’m all fairness makes some fascinating documentaries.. especially on animals & world geography
10/10
Nah this is trash
@@fredthegamerschrarder7716 But you still watched it. You need to get a hobby.
@@ianhamilton3113 how can I find out if it’s good or not without watching it and I have several hobbies 😂.
@@fredthegamerschrarder7716 Fair doo's.
Bias to your view? Yeah mate
imagine having your house under siege by murderers and a random mannequin shows up with your front door
The octobot is sooooo cuuteee
Amazing. But what did the octopus touch at 3:41? A glass tank wall or another camera?
Yeah exactly. Gave me a “fake” vibe because it seemed like some what shot in an aquarium and other scenes were shot an entirely different place (the sharks).
The shots with the real octopus is definietly in a tank. Another giveaway is the ground. When the sharks are shown it's really bumpy, bright and lacks any vegetation, and during the octopus shots it's more smooth, darker, and has green and brown seaweed everywhere.
@@lydon5595how are people not calling out bbc for their dishonesty? This is animal abuse too
That was a hug only, right? I hope that ol' Octy wasn't trying to eat our little cutie..
Spy octopus is so cute❤ but real octopus maybe already know that's a fake one or another form of life.
he hugged the robo-octo as thanks :'D
I was like “ that’s the weirdest looking octopus! “ then I realized it’s a damn robot! That little hug at the end. Octopus really are the most intelligent creatures in the animal kingdom! ❤❤❤
"You may look a little funny but thank you for saving me :)"
How cute 😂❤
If this isn’t the cutest robot i’ve ever seen omg! the way it waddles 😭😭😭
Yes.
How do you film something like that… Incredible!
I need more videos of their on going companionship
Wow this was amazing to watch
Wow. Quite amazing
I rarely eat octopus but after watching this i think im gonna stop or atleast avoiding to eat them
You've gotta be kidding me!
Makes me think about the conjoined twins whose brains are conjoined, and they can see out of each other's eyes. It's really fascinating to think about how more than one brain could work together
"Krista and Tatiana Hogan are inseparable twins, both literally and metaphorically. The twins are joined at the head and their brains are connected by a thalamic bridge that gives them rare capabilities. They can access each other's feelings and even see through each other's eyes." -Google
Saw them - they’re amazing!!
Yep. Two people. One, one-brained octo
Superior creatures ❤
Octopus hug
Finally, a real life tentaspy. 😂❤
Beautiful ocean video
Amazing!
So cute! And super smart!
Wow. That is amazing photography.
Wow informative and so very smart.
It was amazing
I feel like it wasn't fooled...
Man how life like are these robots?
So cute 😍
Animals teach us way more about humanity than humans do.
1:15 Brave boi
It took me half the video to figure out that the weird looking octopus was fake lmao
Thats easy an Octopus has 9 Brains. Its brain is shaped like a Donut
Octopi have multi threaded processing. Nice
I hope to fall in love with a robot some day!!
wow! that octopus is more intelligent than some humans!
So amazing.
No, but really, tell me more about this robot octopus.
DAVID TENANT!
The spy octopus is a robot thats why the sharks left it alone lol 😂
9 brains
Cute robo octopus… Just in time for Xmas?
Amazing 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Why that shark making sound like an F-16 fighter jet ? 😅
