Measurement of Communication Network (GSM-R) at Betuweroute | ProRail, ERTMS

We aim to enhance performance on the Betuweroute, as there were numerous disruptions in 2023 attributed to the loss of connection between trains and infrastructure. To gain deeper insights into the root causes, a measurement train assessed the quality of the GSM-R signal in November 2023. We've compiled a short film showcasing this process. The upcoming results serve as a baseline measurement for us, part of a broader data collection effort. This information will enable us to formulate targeted improvement proposals, ultimately reducing connection losses and the number of disruptions.
