My brother was homeless for almost 3 decades. He preferred to camp near the Bosque River and had a pretty nice campsite for several years. But one time, he was very sick, with pneumonia, and couldn't do anything about it. So he sat in his shelter, facing the doorway, getting ready to meditate, when a blonde Bigfoot strode by and as it passed, it looked at my brother with a very concerned look on his sweet face.😊
Granted, my brother was very ill and might have been hallucinating but he's no liar.

Of course he knew. He also knew exactly what to do to keep this hidden. He committed 2 illegal actions: 1st ask Kevin to go inside. I don't think they can do an investigation on private property without a court order. And 2nd destroying the evidence that Kevin had. He totally acted like a ganster and not like a police.

Wow. So typical. I’ve had different experiences over my life time. It’s so frustrating that most people are so closed minded. I think the ones that do know (like the Sheriff and some government officials), don’t want the general population to know, because let’s be honest, most of the general population wouldn’t be able to handle the truth, and or also, because national parks bring in millions of dollars a year.

Why do you even mention national parks when it comes to these beings? National Park attendance wouldn't be affected if these beings were revealed to be real. Number one, there's actually very few reported credible sightings in national parks despite the stories told on the internet and youtube. Number two, park attendance wouldn't be affected but rather go up with all the curious bigfoot seekers and famlies who ignorantly believe national parks are common places to see them. Finally, since 99% of credible witness reports are peaceful and non violent, the Department of the interior ( they are probably responsible ultimately for the oversight of these beings) know they aren't inherently dangerous to humans anymore than black bears. As long as the public are advised of their existence and told they aren't normally dangerous to humans, there's no reason parks would be affected or closed or any of that other conspirscy BS you read about online. These beings fear us more than we do them.

    • @johnschoen703

@@unropednope4644national parks would absolutely be affected. The parks at the end of the streets would be affected. Did u notice what happened when the government scared us about a deadly disease with a 99% survival rate? People would never leave their house if the government told them their were 8 foot monsters roaming the forrest. People would be clear cutting forrest or burning them to the ground. They wouldn't venture to put the trash out. More than half the country are complete idiots. National forrest would get paved over.

Absolutely beautiful up there. I was in that area in the 1970's.
There are many stories of someone seeing Bigfoot without another witness. Kids (till twenty something for many adults)are often doubted. Adults doubt others if they hadn't seen Bigfoot.
Being alone with something important is heart-wrenching. Kids are often left feeling they can no longer trust their Dad or any adult of authority. Not good.

I’ve always listened to, believed in, and supported my kids, and their feedback and contentions, even when they were little, which is something which I still do to this very day. That’s the key to being a good person and parent, to be an active listener, to let others have their say, and to deliberate and reflect upon what they’ve told you before offering feedback or judgment. Anyone who’s been unfairly subjected to the adage of ‘rules for thee, but not for me’ knows how such arrogance and ignorance (if applicable) can drive a wedge, as we’re so often seeing within our modern times.

We certainly didn't have any secret numbers to call if strange things happened. No reason to think that the local cops would have some kind of mysterious men in black phone number either. I don't doubt the guys story, but I don't think the Sherrif's deputy was involved in a grand federal conspiracy either. At most it was the Sheriff who wanted to brush it under the rug because he didn't want to get accused of wasting resources and tax dollars investigating "crazy" stories about big hairy men.

Hi Chris, I wish he would have said how much the Hog Weighed. It would have made a big difference in the Story. I’m glad he was able to talk to you. Hopefully that will help him. Great to see you out and hiking, Basecamp Chris! It’s a roasting hot Monday here in New Zealand!
“In the barn” is much too close for comfort - extremely frightening! Imagine seeing a Sasquatch carrying your hog away! The idea of it being an upright walking bear is laughable. Actually being told “it was a bear” by the law enforcement, must have been extremely frustrating! Poor young guy 😔

You can't be far from us here in Chico. Oroville and Paradise both have Feather River Heath Centers and the river running nearby. The Sheriff or the deputy knew it was a Squatch, there is a group nearby and they know it. They must dissuade any knowledge of " Forest People". Very unfortunate approach.

I can only imagine Kevin's frustration when his father or others doubted his sighting.
Years ago, an old Army buddy of mine, told me of a Sasquatch sighting that he had in Maine, his home state.
He seemed reluctant to discuss this, most likely from fear of ridicule. I'm thinking that the sighting was sometime in the 1970s. I did believe him. Sadly, he has sinced passed away. He was a dear friend and a brother.
Thank you Chris for what you do. I really enjoy the channel.

Thank you for your continuing efforts in delivering to us your magnificent storytelling skills, Chris!
Although I was born long after the golden age of radio had already dawned, I was fortunate to have my great grandparents in my life until my early 20’s, with each of them being my heroes, living fascinating lives, and regaling me with the stories of such.
I had always found they and their stories to be so engrossing and transformative as my mind’s eye had popped open, my current surroundings had faded away, and I’d been transported to their times and adventures through my imagination and their talented storytelling.
I’ve always felt that I should’ve been born and lived during their era, for it’s from their examples of maturity, responsibility, goodwill, charity, compassion, empathy, patience, industriousness, courage, and self reliance by which I’ve fashioned and lived my life.
One of my great regrets is that I hadn’t lived through the glorious and golden era of the radio, when the radio was the centerpiece for family entertainment within the home prior to the arrival of the television. If you haven’t already seen it, the film ‘Radioland Murders’ brilliantly captures the glorious, golden era of radio and the programs, commercials, and entertainment which had made it so special.
This explains why I take such pleasure in your awesome storytelling skill and the adventures which you chronicle for all of us through using it, as you so superbly do when recounting these tales for us and on the behalf of others.
Although some folks may beg to differ with my opinion, storytelling is a skill which not everyone has been blessed with or wants to be bothered with developing, which is a shame. In being a skilled storyteller, people find you more interesting and take a greater interest in you and what you have to say, which is beneficial to both your personal and professional lives.
It’s not just beneficial to your life, however, it also benefits others and their lives through the sharing of wisdom, knowledge, and entertainment, as well.
We all know that most anyone can tell a story, but it’s the manner in which the story is told which causes it to resonate or to not resonate with us, which makes it memorable or forgettable.
It’s not unlike someone who’s mastered their subject of speciality, after many years of upper learning and devotion to that disciple, but who’s unable to properly, skillfully, convey those concepts to others, due to lacking suitable teaching skills.
Over and above the magnificent backdrops of natural scenery which you incorporate within your video segments, as well as the well timed and subtle sound effects and music which highlight it, your storytelling is especially powerful and magnetic because of the passion and enthusiasm with which you tell these stories.
As your video segments progress, and as your storytelling and body language draws us in, your passion and enthusiasm for the storytelling becomes our passion and enthusiasm, as well, through being shared.
We, your audience, find the story in question to be mesmerizing, entertaining, and memorable because YOU find it to be all of those things and convey as such through your storytelling.
You may have already mentioned this during one of your previous video segments, one which I’ve not seen, yet, but have you considered writing as a vocation, Chris? Or, perhaps, participating in narrating audio books?
As that you’re already such a talented storyteller, in superbly recounting the tales of others and their experiences and encounters, have you thought about or tried crafting fictional or nonfictional stories of your own, writing them down, and self publishing them?
I really think that you’d prove successful at such endeavors, especially in this day and age of unending drama, stress, and challenge when so many people are looking for escapism, entertainment, and relaxation however and whenever they can find it.
Maybe you could do a nonfiction book about your life, experiences, and travels as a hiker, naturalist, beverage connoisseur, aspiring chef, and Bigfoot enthusiast? Or, perhaps, you could craft a fictional story or book which draws inspiration from your life, experiences, and travels?
I’ve done so, myself, in having written over 200 short stories and in incorporating my own Bigfoot experience through a short story that I’d written which is entitled, ‘In the middle of the night, something sang, Sang with a country twang.’
I’ve also sent some of my short stories, over and above recounting a Bigfoot and a ghost experience which I’d had, to you, as well, with those being delivered via your email address for submittals.
As for Kevin’s father not believing he and his story, although it’s not uncommon to have an adult disbelieve someone who was his age, at that time, that’s a shame and must’ve proven to be somewhat hurtful to Kevin and his feelings.
I’ve always listened to, believed in, and supported my kids, and their feedback and contentions, even when they were little, which is something which I still do to this very day.
That’s the key to being a good person and a good parent, I believe, to be an active listener, to let others have their say, and to deliberate and reflect upon what they’ve told you before offering feedback or judgment.
Anyone who’s been unfairly subjected to the old adage of ‘rules for thee, but not for me’ knows how such arrogance and ignorance (if applicable) can drive a powerful wedge, as we’re so often seeing within our modern times.
Have a great week and upcoming weekend, everyone, and happy trails to you and yours! :)

It’s frustrating because I know it happened and I tell them about it and they don’t believe it! I wish sometimes that I knew someone that has been through these experiences and we could commiserate! I did have a friend who understood, but not any of my family. Thank you, Chris, for telling everyone’s stories here on your platform. ❤️🕊
