Not really, you probably just always used composite instead of component. Rich people had 1080p tvs in the 90's. A lot of games have better graphics than you remember. The Xbox had a few games that supported 1080p and had several 720p games as it was the most powerful console of that generation.
@@somerandomguy5977 dunno who you're replying to, but my point was that Underground's visuals were ahead of its time. For example compared to Vice City from 2002 or even San Andreas from 2004 (released a year later than NFSU), which look cartoon-ish.
@@dudoboi Rockstar games of that era in general had bad graphics in comparsion to other games, but really good gameplay and features in comparsion to others open wolrd games.
That perfect 90º turn you make in the 1:34/1:35-ish timeline is I recall one on my nightmare turns in NFS Underground in the Game Cube, I almost always ended up over stirring an hitting the rail-guard, I always had to get as much time ahead of me and the other as possible so high-speed-turn-crash didn’t become my undoing in the race.
Modified magazine was an actual magazine up until the mid 2010’s or so. Same thing with other magazines featured in the game like Sport Compact Car and Import Tuner magazine
I do think a nuzlocke challenge would be better than no restart which is if you lose a race you can’t use that car anymore and restart the game if u fail on every car

I know there’s a lot of factors that can limit video length so if not I get it, I’d always prefer higher post frequency over longer video length but figured I’d throw it out there

Hum. I finish Underground a month ago only hard difficulty at 100% with Golf. It's a easiest car i drive more than mx-5 on this game. 0 problem for drag race for exemple. I think it's impossible to finish Underground full hard with Subaru. (I desactivate all helping drive and drive manual)
Peugeot is trash? Dude who the heck are you? Its one of the best cars in the game. It can perform on par with rx7 sometimes but kinda less powerful than that.
@@grittyy86 OMFG. WTF is that French trash? Civic, Acuras, RX-7, Skyline, Supra, Lancer, Impreza, 350Z and Eclipse are the real cars, not that lil French box which also looks silly.
@@grittyy86 Chill bro, it's just a game for a street car culture fans. Devs made those cars balanced as much as they could, but in reality, V4 lil boxy carts can't be compared to V8 cars such as Supra, Skyline etc.

It is unreal they managed to pull these visuals off back in 2003.
Yeah it had no open world but level design was in my opinion much more interesting and detailed than in Nfsu2.

Tip: on those hills let go of gas before lift off, if you need to dodge tap the direction slightly while lifting off. easier to maintain control.

the race when all crash at first turn, if you just let go of trust, you can make the turn from the inside clean as the bots crash at the wall together
