Tommy Emmanuel since his early days has always played the guitar like a kid playing in a school play ground! Only wish I had half his talent to make people smile😊
@@tigrankhachaturian8983 I'd argue that is not easy to play badly the violin, it is actually really hard to just play, however to make the guitar sound is really really easy
i saw tommy in a hotel lobby in san francisco the other day. didn't want to bother him as he was about to get in an elevator, but also regret not letting him know how much joy these videos bring me, and how i'd binged them just the night before. funny world.
The fan has been a long under appreciated instrument for generations I'm glad to see it back in modern music. Long may it influence the next generation of fan flickers 😘
Tommy Emmanuel, besides being an "off the charts" great musician, definitely seems like the kind of guy you want to have a beer with. Fun loving, charismatic, with surely a multitude of stories he loves sharing.
Jim's solos are so sweet and tasty, great timing and colors. Tommy is such a genius, infinite sense of improvisation and groove, Richard really solid and I enjoy some of recognizable Django's lightning licks he put in there. The trio swing like crazy and never rush, if you check the video from beginning to end they keep the same tempo whereas so many things happen in there, high level.
I love how Tommy is the "star" here but hes always more than happy to just throw chords around and let the other amazingly talented but less well known musicians shiwcase their ability! Class act!
@@jerrylanglois7892 I would agree, but the problem I have when someone is mentioning talent is that it takes away all the hard work these guys probably invested in their guitar playing. When you say they are talented then you impyling that they were kind of born with it and did not have to do anything for it. Furthermore it demotivates anyone who wants to start playing like that, you know, they possibly think they cannot do it because they have no talent. I tell you hard work is the key, not talent. I have been playing the guitar for 26 years as an amateur, but after all these videos at the Chet Atkins convention, Nashville TN, July 2018, I feel like an absolute beginner. As if, I had learned to play yesterday. OK. My guitar-world is actually high-distortion e-guitar and hard rock something like Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, Andy Timmons, Sergey Golovin, Andy James, Steve Morse, Steve Vai, and so on. Marco Izquierdo I can't believe you have not heard Tommy Emmanuel! He's the master of fingerstyle. He's one of my favorite guitar players. I play several melodies of him. About 30 songs by now. He's awesome! Greetings!
you just can't play wrong notes after that much training, its just like learning to walk, they probably are not even knowing what the hell they are doing , its just flowing subconsciously without any difficulty.
This is my favourite kind of acoustic performances. Just people jamming out and having fun all while sounding like absolute machines. Such good vibes. 😁
Three of the best players ever known to man! Tommy will forever be my idol and inspiration to practice harder. 30 years later i still smile when i pick up my guitars.
Wow! Watching this from remote Yorkshire Dales in UK, what a superb trio, love Tommys unbridled enthusiasm, and the skill level of all 3 is off the Ritchter Scale! Awesome. How to enjoy happy top-rated guitar! ❤️🌻☀️

I watch this vid everytime I procrastinate learning how to play the guitar. It gives me motivation and to remind myself why I want to learn in the first place.
I got to meet Tommy Emmanuel a long time ago because my dad is a luthier and made a guitar for him. He is a really cool dude. I was little at the time but I remember it well.
I just realized at the end that I'm having a wide smile on my face while watching this. Entertaining and they sure are having a great time playing too. Awesome.
