That some amazing Pastel painting ..The sky is just gorgeous and is so bright and completely 3D seems to go on forever..I use the cheaper ones of these and have been to back colouring I have done for people as I love the soft feel they give and really allow my pencil colouring come to life..I have not done a big piece in many years though..you Rock these as well as any other medium you use 😀

Loved the art, the technique and the colour play - am going to put my water clours away and get out my long-neglected pastels and have a go at this. I think I might even buy some pastel crayons. Liked the music too (I usually switch it off). Regards from France.

Love the technique of shaving the pastels to dust and then using your hand. Well done. Do you add a fixative when your finished or just scan your art in?

Beautifully dramatic clouds! Absolutely love it!😍 I thought you were about to paint a boat, and then maybe a man spearing fish... but it was a swing! Lol! Come on! You can do way better than that. Lol. For a start, from the perspective on the back swing, she is going to smash into that beach sand. Lol. I hate it when things like this happen to my art. Onward and upward! 😉

Good experiment with an eraser. I will suggest you to rub eraser on a sandpaper instead of cutting every time. Keep on doing new things.

I have that same question. You would think that it is pastel paper but I'm left wondering how well you can erase on pastel paper because of the almost rough texture of it. I guess I will be finding out soon enough because I have to try to recreate that sky!!!
Most artists use sanded paper I like UArt or Pastelmat which is my favorite . Regular pastel paper does not really hold the color.

Is mungyo a korean brand? I had no idea. I've had a 48 color set that i bought ages ago and never used coz i didn't know how to use em. And the colors looked so vibrant and gorgeous that i didn't wanna mess em up lol. Anyways gorgeous work. Im totally inspired to use my pastels now. I actually like the girl on the swing too. Amazing art as always
