There is, I kind of brushed over that, my apologies. There are dip switches on the back of the unit to set timing curve, and rev limit. I set timing retard to start at 5000 RPM, pulling 3 degrees per thousand after that, and the rev limit I set at 8000rpm.
Hey Jim. It was great to finally meet you at world finals this year. At 12:31 you are using a stater cover plug test cap. Is that something you made or is it possible to buy that cap somewhere? What psi are you pumping up to or are you pulling a vacuum when doing this test?
It holds a strong spark, all the way down to 12 volts. It will usually last 2 tanks of fuel before it gets there though. Without the drag of the magnets used in the charging system though, it hits way harder (and decelerates more abruptly too)!
650 has analog ignition, (old school) 750 has digital ignition, completely different technologies. Nothing is interchangeable on those. You can put a complete 750 ignition/flywheel swap on the 650. We will be doing that at some point.
You’re a good teacher, Jimmy. I like how you explain things.
Thank you!
Great Editing and I like your music too!
Thank you. I'll let my editor know. 😉
Me too!
Another great video Jimmy!
Another Great Master-Class!!!

We just picked up one of the msd boxes.
Very cool! They are awesome. :-)
Hey Jim is that an RN aluminum pole?
LOL, It IS. I am such a hoarder.. :-)
Because Melin is the Majician....lol
For sure!
Learning something in every video! I'd love more talking-us-thru your steps (verses sped-up timelapses). Cheers!
Very cool. Thank you for the feedback. :-)
Great stuff, explanations are great for us old people, thanks.
Great video! So is there no rev limiter in this design?

@@jetskijim007 Fantastic! Appreciate your reply, Jim!
That's interesting!
right?

Great video on how these actually work, Thank you!
Right on! Thank you. :-)
So, without a charging system, as the battery is discharged, how does that affect ignition system?

What’s the difference between 650 and 750 Kawa enhancer? Can I use 750 for my 650? Can’t find much information about that

I'm confused,, how does the battery stay charged ??
It doesn't charge. It will run through (about) 2 tanks of fuel, and then need to be charged on the charger.
@jetskijim007 Thank you, Jimmy
