Though quite upmarket as ever
Today's podcast had me cringing
For the first story recalled me
Of a mate who screwed his finger
He was up of a scaffolding
The hand behind a plasterboard
The screaming we heard afterward
Tells enough how excrutiating...
Was the pain that he experienced.
We were first puzzled and muted
Whilst he moaned and bit the bullet
We called the fire department...
It took long time for them to come
His position was uneasy
He had turned pale, it was achy
At last we heard the siren call
Since they couldn't anesthetize
They had to cut the plasterboard
With that stuff he was put onboard
The pic I still visualise.
Soon he was in the hospital
They removed the screw from his hand
And applied a disinfectant
'Bout it all now, sometimes we joke.
