@Gryan Credrerikeeping healthy takes priority, which contributes not in height but in looks. Your looks are a reflection of your health, not referring to intrinsic characteristics of course.
imagine showing up to your kids first middle school bball game and seeing one of these guys on the other team. it would go from "give them hell" to "try and have fun" real quick
every one in the corners and your best ball handler creates.
spread the court out as much as possible.

and of course Luck needs to be on your side. 😄 🤣

Report this video tacko fall is 8'6"
Olivier Rioux is the anomaly. He's the most normal looking 7'7" freak I've ever seen AND he moves normally, too, which makes him even freakier. He's gonna be great as long as he doesn't get injured.
7'5".
I've seen video of him and he doesn't even get playing time on his high school team, IMG, does he?
because he is still very young. Basically a teen.
Wembenyama has a 30+ inch vert at 7'5 mindblowing
This is why 7'4 Victor Wembanyama is such a unique player. Scary height and scary skill.
I just hope he doesn't end up like Ralph Sampson. Let's hope his body can hold up. A lot of players that tall have trouble quickly are felled with mobility issues.
And really scary chance to get injured early career.
Add in the fact he isn't 7' 4" - he's a genuine 7' 2" guy but he isn't 7' 4".
Look up Ralph Sampson
@@TestaMenta7 you fr?
Basically shows how much of an anomaly victor wenbanyama is being a mobile 7’4 giant. It is completely unfair to be able to be able to have normal coordination at that size
gonna be fun to watch... knock on wood he stays healthy
he's mobile but that also means he likely can't bang with anyone who has muscle. Unless he wants to get injured.

Neil Fingleton passed away in 2017 at 36yo. He was one of those rare giants with no medical cause to his height. Just a normal dude but massive. RIP Neil.
I saw Neil Fingleton in the poker room at Foxwoods Casino and walked right by Manute Bol at Mohegan Sun Casino, both in Connecticut.
oh no, RIP 😢🙏🏼
@@backnineblueswhat was it like seeing Neil in real life. Is he as big as advertised?
@@AnHebrewChild I first saw him walking toward the Poker Room with a normal-sized friend. Couldn’t believe my eyes. I asked someone who worked there if they knew his name and they told me. I was playing at a table near the “cage” where you get chips. When he walked over there he was about 20 feet from me. But at Mohegan Sun I walked right by Manute Bol. Hard to believe that Robert Wadlow was 16” taller than both of them.

Out of context, but Robert Wadlow at 8 was 6ft but then came to an height of being 8’11 died at the age of 22.

Watching these guys dexterity and flexibility makes me feel so blessed to have my agility, these guys move like sloths

The tallest player ever up through the 1970s was John Hollinden from Evansville, Ind. His height reached 7-7 as senior at Indiana State at Evansville (now called Univ. of Southern Indiana). It took him several years for his physique to adjust to his constant growth, but he was a fine defensive force by 1981, when he was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA. He opted to play in Europe, but tragedy stopped his career; he was in a single-car accident in 1981 just before he was to leave for Europe and lived as a paraplegic until his death 11 years later. He remained inspiringly positive his whole life.
Lies again? Heart Of Gold Height Growth
There was an Algerian named Suleiman Ali Nashnush who was listed at 7'10" during his playing career and eventually topped out at 8'. Information about who he played for and where is scarce. All I can find is that he was on the Algerian national team in the 1960s. However, I remember seeing him in the Guinness Book years ago.
@@jimsangreal7663 Alexander Sizonenko from Ukraine was/is usually recognized as the tallest professional basketball player at 7'10"(measured by Guinness Book of Records).

Man that sucks, he might've had an awesome basketball career too
Olivier has insane potential, his body looks like he can put in good muscle only if he doesn't grow insanely taller and lanky
Did Olivier start for his high school team this past year? Was he a junior? I know he played for IMG of Florida, right? I never saw any story about him having a big game for them this year.
" 7-11, we're not taking about convenience store" 🤣🤣🤣

The main reason he's not as good is because his height and weight seriously affects his mobility. He seems to be very slow and gets tired way too easily, he could really be 8ft+ if he got his posture fixed
Seeing Robert's body moves,. I am pretty contented in my 5'7 height.
Yo! That's actually really interesting & cool to be THAT tall. It's just like Manute & Bol Bol along with #77 for the Washington Bullets (I am drawing a blank & can't remember the spelling of this name🤔). Awesome upload!!!👍🏾💯👌🏾😎
Shaq: "Yo kid, can I get some snacks and a drink from you?"
Atagoki: "Do I look like I'm 7/11 Shaq?"
Shaq: "Yes you are."

i also have scoliosis, but not being able to perform deadlifts isnt the reason hes so thin. you can easily replace those excercises with a "guided" excercise (where your back is pressed against something so it doesnt have any weight on it). the reason hes so thin is something completely different.
I guess he has Marfan syndrome.
Dont think that what he meant he meant u need to those workouts to be strong for basketball and he couldnt
Cos you need to eat a shit ton of calories daily to not be skinny at that height.
@Tyler That shit would add up over a few days. And it seems like it would be a chore.
Yeah, it looks a lot like Marfan's Syndrome or something. Then again Manute Bol was only about 180lb at 7'6" in his rookie year but Bobroczky does look quite different...
3:07 bruh you did that boy sooooo dirty 😂😂😂😂 STICKS
3:05 BRUH! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO SAY THAT?! THEY WAY I LOL’ED‼️🤦🏽♂️😆😆
Good breakdown.
Nothing against 'Abiodun or the rest of the athletes showcased, but the reason Victor Wembanyama is a top prospect is because he isnt just tall, he is actually good. He moves with swiftness and finesse for his height which is something a lot of players cant do past 7ft. And the clips didnt really impress because he looked like he was lumbering more than anything. Glad he made it out of his situation and is able to prospect, but a lot of these "NBA prospect" thoughts are cases of "you're tall, you should play basketball.

I think this video puts into perspective how good Yao Ming was.
His height was an important asset, but he had the moves to back up his popularity.
Bless his Heart ❤️ I already Love Him.
So basically Abiodun Adegoke is a 7'11'' hunchback which means if he had grown to his fullest potential he would easily have been well over 8 feet.
They measure barefoot. Bol was measured barefoot at 7’3 ina half. Meaning bol will be 7’5 listed in nba when its game day. Same to adegoke on game day he will be marked as 8 foot
I'm short 5'6. I was jealous of super tall people. But now that i'm old, I definately wouldn't want to be taller than 6'2". In fact 6' is perfectly fine (and even then there's some things you can't fit in, like a sports car).
Why?
Only advantage of height is: dominance in a boardroom or sport or being spotted in public. and two sports and getting women.
Disadvantages: everything in life from health, to doors too small, to finding a bed.
He was taller in kindergarten than I was in grade 9 😢😭
He shoul just have spine surgery to correct the issue, instant few inches. 8 ft 1.
At his size, the hunchback removes about 3-6 inches off his height. The dude is really 8'2-8'5
Imagine feeling small at 7’6”
Wtf
I'm 5 5
Same here and my name is Victor too 😅@victorhernandez5516
I met him earlier this year, cool guy
2:08-2:30 what got me weak is he 100% serious 🤣🤣🤣
Cool sport, very exciting
he may have the highest reach of any bball player, but he can't even jump over an inch... real bball players could easily front him, jump and intercept the pass. The other team would just run fast pace offence to make sure they score every time 5 on 4 before the giant can come back for defence. Being tall is an advantage, but it's not the only thing that matters in basketball.
Cant jump over an Inch? Does not need to jump, the point is to put it in the basket not jump the highest
@@anyexpat joking right?

That's the thing about Yao Ming, he's very tall yet perfectly normal

@@Goddid69 Dang, I wonder why you guys have gotten your growth spurt already when I haven't had mine yet. @@xboogiex1239 none taken, you MAY or MAY not be taller, only time will tell friend.
Suddenly I’m grateful I’m just 5ft 10
Me same 5'10⅛
Just to add some perspective, tall doesn't do it in the NBA, I just watched Bol Bol do a crossover 360 for a lay up. I'm 5'10" and in my prime I'm not doing that to any NBA bench warmer.
I have stated for years that the best athletes on a top college, or any NBA team are the smaller guys who can run, jump and shoot from distance. If there were ever a player near 8 feet tall who was truly athletic and durable, I think there would have to be rule changes considered.
there should be height limit in basketball because a person nearly 8ft tall playing basketball, is like me playing on a kiddie hoop

@@josephfdent I feel you, but then that would be discrimination. He wouldn't need to play in the nba cause he would win a multimillion dollar lawsuit.

nah there is a difference between tall and being over 7 ft tall my guy one is past the point of "tall"
@@thetruesquad5059I think that should be classified as “gargantuan”😂
Bro lower life expectancy and worse health overall with older age usually starts from 6 foot and odds are worse in your favor for every inch after that. Human stature is on a Bell-curve, there is a reason the vast majority of men are just around 5’9, abnormally tall people are not healthy, it can be even more of a handicap than being abnormally short most of the time.
@@gromswowguide7927 Being tall doesn't mean someone will die younger automatically. Plenty of men 6'4+ in height that are in their 50s, 60s, 70s and etc that live longer than men shorter than them. If they live a healthy lifestyle they can be old and tall.

The tallest man that I have seen in person is 7'8". He played basketball at a local small college and later played with the Harlem Globetrotters.
Something that's relevant is that Wilt Chamberlain approximately 7 foot 1 and a bit, wanted to be an athlete from a young age and his school friends who visited him at home said, he had three hundred lbs barbells he used to work out with!
I'm not suggesting that this is right for every tall person but let's not forget that every nba player who ever played against him said, "he was the strongest player in the nba! "
Then but i bet Shaq and Sabonis were much stronger? Also much bigger. Shaq said Sabonis was strongest he ever met. I have met him few times. He is huge. Bigger than Shaq.
You are talking about one of the best athletes who ever lived. Wilt was unbelievable. You couldn't stop him then and if he was playing today he'd be unstoppable.
@@MaximusMerideus Lets not get crazy, there's still people that could out sway him today.
@@Raytheman581 Wilt would dominate today, that's all I'm saying. People have little idea what a freak athlete this man was. 7'1" 270 46-48inch vert. 92' wingspan. and a measured standing reach at 9'8" in college. Think about a 100in wingspan, thats 8'4", and a man that could touch 13'6" ft while jumping. They would put a quarter on the top of the backboard (that's13 ft) and Wilt would snatch if off. They had a 12ft basket at Kansas and he could dunk on it. With his leaping ability he could reach higher than any human in history now or then. Wilt was so ahead of his time and sadly there is little info and video of his early playing. Remember Bball wasn't a very popular sport in America at that time. There's no video of his 100pt game. Yeah he scored 100pts more than once. You have to listen to the old time hall of famers who played against Wilt to truly understand how great and once in a lifetime specimen and athlete this man was. Just because you see these amazing athletes in high def doesn't mean there wasn't something or someone that came before who would dominate in any era, I'm not saying Wilt was the best ever, not even close. Jordan was the best ever. But let's give him credit for being one of the greatest athletes that ever lived.
@@MaximusMerideus I'm not taking away wilt props, but the dribble game was different then. Plus the players weren't as ib shape as they are now. He'd be a force to be reckoned with for sure, but he wouldn't be getting 100 points a game in this era is what I'm saying.
If he gets the proper training and health treatments he can make it. The issue is who is willing to invest in that. He is 7'11 slumped, and he is probably 8'0 standing straight if he could. Obviously, he can't due to the spine issue. Anomaly for sure. All the best!

The last 2 guys are the only ones who have a "normal" body for their height. (The Olivier kid and the British guy who broke his back) Everyone else seems to have some type of glandular problem that caused them to overgrow, have an awkward frame and not move well. Due to their lack of mobility, movement and athleticism, they would never play high level ball. It's one thing to dunk on a bunch of low skilled, undertalented 6'3" guys but running up and down the court takes its toll, especially playing against high level athletes
