- Welcome to Norfolkfords, I am Lewis Eves and in this video I will be drilling my winter wheat for harvest 2024 with the Ford 4610 and the Massey 30 drill just like my Grandad would have back in the 80's.

Lovely video and a bit of nostalgia. Used to drill with a Ford 6600 and mounted Farmhand drill was so easy
I'm really pleased you enjoyed it. 6600 are still a very nice tractor too
Fine video nice set up works well we have a 7610AP 2wd but the q cab definitely nicer to sit in greetings from co down ni👍

A right trip back in time treading very lightly .you need to realise how lucky you are having some forgiving land up here in the east Midlands not hardly any drilling done .the following harrows would make a good job but in the conditions i think it would take some pulling keep at it im waiting on a bit of frost up here and plan to go with the old carrier spring tine drill could just do with a msssey 590 to put it on .
Dad really wanted to run the 590 on this field but I prefer the 4610. I'll try proper harrows another time. I think it's too wet now for most things
Best drill we ever had and would still have it if it wasn't that back in 1999 we started growing osr. I do have a small wheeled one that i just bought that im going to put behind my Super Major for some photos

You need a full width set of harrows behind that drill would level it much better .

The 10 series is still an icon. I would like a few more in the fleet just to get more variety of jobs. I think they will not be beaten
