I have been working on this for months. Okay I’m being dramatic, but I have been decluttering for months preparing for this video.
I’m on a journey of self discovery and gaining self awareness.
I can’t hold onto things that no longer serve me. I mean that in more ways than one. But today we talk PERFUMES!
This is just the beginning. I’m only just getting started. I have a goal in mind of how many fragrances I truly want in my collection. I have a ways to go, but I’m keeping that in mind with every purchase and every release. I’m not interested in buying things just to have them. They should be used, loved, experienced. Otherwise they serve no purpose. That’s how I feel about most of these. There are a few that may undoubtedly find their way back, while others are gone for good. Either way it’s a decision I can live with right now. At this moment, I’m satisfied.
There will be more to come remember this isn’t a race it’s a marathon 🥰

Yes! I’m on the same page as you when it comes to my collection. I really want to be more mindful of the perfume I’m bringing in to my collection. Although Sometimes the hype and FOMO gets to me🙈🤣 I’m trying to buy more travel sizes instead. To help curve that itch🤓😋

I so admire you and your declutter videos. I never thought that I could part with any of my mists or perfumes. I discovered that I needed to declutter a lot in my collection b/c I'm feeling overwhelmed, and I'm running out of room. Thanks for the inspiration and courage to make a clean break with some of my bottles. Also, thanks for telling me that it's fine to no longer like a scent anymore b/c it was a blind buy or bought in haste or b/c I just don't like it anymore. And, no, the perfume police won't arrest me for not using half the bottle or all of it. 😂

This is inspiring. There are some that I’m holding on to but if I declutter, the first to go is Amber Oud Gold. It smells too much like cologne. I realize I don’t like masculine leaning scents.

I enjoyed this so much! So many of your declutters were also my declutters. Ocean and Mac turquatic do smell similar! But if I had to choose, I’d pick ocean. MAC turquatic smelled too masculine to me. I got rid of both. Ocean was very underwhelming given that hefty price tag, its overpriced for what it is. I also bought many of Paulina’s recommendations, love her! But so many of those didn’t work out either.

I just finished watching your Middle Eastern collection video. You mentioned that you’re unsure about Nebras. I wanted to share that when I tried Nebras in-store, I immediately fell in love with it. But when I ordered a new bottle, it didn’t smell the same at first. It’s getting better as it’s maturing, so I’d suggest not decluttering Nebras just yet-you might end up liking it in a couple of months. Have a wonderful day!!!

I LOVE this! Declutter videos are so therapeutic! I made a list of my blind buy fails, and here are the notes I do not like:
Almond
Strong lavender
Animalic notes
Strong Oud/Patchouli
Licorice .
After I weeded those out, I was left with 30. There may be 2 or3 more but I'll do those later! 😂

My notes that I don't like, after hundreds of $$ in sampling the last few years:
Benzoin, licorice, patchouli, fig, suede, anything boozy ie. cognac, rum, etc., tobacco & leather.
There are *few* exceptions however, If I see these notes especially if more than one is losted, I avoid even sampling.
Yes to not keeping things hoping they get better! The amount of times I've tried to make myself love a fragrance is insane. You did amazing! 👏 I just know you feel a million times better. Girl, it's hotter here the majority of the time, wanna switch haha? I miss seeing snow. It's been years.

What a big declutter!! A lot that you had on here I decluttered as well. I love kilian princess and ya I feel like not wearing it much because it’s so expensive and you can’t see what’s left. Anyway my SOTD is Marc Jacobs Daisy love eau so sweet layered with Burberry her elixer! Love it❤

you can try the flashlight trick if you haven't already. Shine a bright flashlight (phone will work) through the bottle to check the level.

i prefer the eau fraiche version of princess. its not as matcha heavy to me. i just have dupes and i'm good with that for now.
@34:20 That sounds like me with Love Don’t be Shy. Lol. I was committed! But I didn’t get the hype. That orange blossom and neroli combo was sharp and pungent! I only found one combo I liked with it. I definitely don’t think it’s worth almost $300.

Would you do a best/worst of each middle eastern brand that you know well? Including your declutters obviously. Paris Corner and Lattafa are hit and miss sometimes. PC especially I love their scents but they never last on me. Also this look/hair/glasses is lovely.

Hey I love your honesty sometimes the hype is overdone and leads us to buying what we dont need. Personally if I’m not sure I buy mini samples if it’s full bottle worthy I’ll buy if not I wont😊it saves me money and am happy..sometimes the bottles are beautiful are tempting but the juice not so good😅

That’s why I won’t buy most fragrances if I can’t smell them first, the couple middle Eastern fragrances I own is because I was able to smell them in person when I went back home. We are going back to NY next month so I have a connect in the Bronx and she’s gonna have a ton for me to smell before I buy thankfully.

I think I’m done with ME for a while. I’m not getting a bigger case and I and out of room now. I always said 100 bottles is enough for me. I think I’m right at the threshold. As for designer… samples or travel sprays. Great video❤

Unless something goes. I have a few slots left but yeah I’ve had too many misses to continue purchasing the way I was.

I feel you on the BR540 dna. I tried different versions of it starting with Burberry her, then afnan amberthyme which is thick and smells like it's mixed with Khamrah. And finally I got a sample of the one you got rid of. There is a note in there that is annoying and I can't overlook it because it never goes away. Just glad I never got full bottles of any of them. Like you, I'm good.

Guuuuuurl! I've stopped buying based on reviews! I know what notes I love & those I can't stand. Idc how much reviewers rave about a scent, if it wasn't on my radar already, I'm not checking for it. I'm also done blind buying fragrances that I can go in store & sample. And no mo FOMO! I've given away THOUSANDS of dollars worth of failed blind buys. My niche blind buys fails were the worst. No mas!

I sampled Bayn and hated it. I bought a decant of Guidance b/c I love it. I also love Delina Exclusiv, OG Delina isn’t for me. Haven't tried Dapper yet but last month tried Dua for the first time and umm... does no one else smell the oil in the DUA fragrances? Why didn't anyone mention that? I was told to let them sit, but I'm tired of waiting to wear things 6 months out. Think I'm done with middle eastern and dupe houses though Dua's Marshmallow Dreams is a win.
@@venuss2000 You know it seems like ppl are split with dua. They either love it or others have the same issue with the oil smell. I haven’t purchased from them yet.
I am selling Tharwah Gold too, I liked it but there is a back up scent in the dry down that put me off. It is funny you said it is masculine, I sold it to a man

Bayn is one of the worse scent I've ever smell. It's nothing like Guidance to my nose, and I love the Guidance. Maybe I has a bad batch
