I absolutely adore transparent colors because you get to add the color without losing any of the texture underneath, and it looks like that's exactly what you did to make that colorful galactic arm. You had put down a lot of color in the background of it and when you were creating the texture I was worried that the paint wasn't doing what you wanted, because I was judging it by my expectations and desire to see those colors come back out from under the black. I hadn't realized that those colors were there for the buildings later, and that the black and white texturing for the galactic arm was the important part of that step. This video was a great learning tool for me to understand that if I want to really improve my technique, I should try to be thinking even farther ahead in my process about which steps are going to lead to which results. I just watched another one of your videos on how to make skyscrapers/buildings because that is something I want to begin to work into my art this year and it was very helpful to see that it's not nearly as complicated as it seems and can actually be done very quickly.
I really love the crystalline tower. It looks like it is made out of mirrors or clear crystal. I saw it in another video you did. One of my favorite features you put in your paintings. Love this one.
