Hi, Steve. Enjoyed the post. Didn't expect you to be visiting The Eden Project. That moment when you 1st see the domes! It's like the intro to Teletubbies on steroids, I was in silent awe. Only been once; I had a skull-splitting hangover and nearly passed out in the Amazon bit 😂. Food Court was pretty good. Very expensive tho' (for us anyway). Keep up the great work, pal 👍.
I visited here a few years ago it's really interesting. It is expensive to enter, imagine how much it would cost for a family. There is plenty to see. I remember how hot and humid the domes are. Thanks for making this video it's brought back lots of happy memories. I love Cornwall.
Oh dear - I don't know what I was expecting, but I don't think it was that! The entrance prices certainly are steep, considering the amount of walking you have to do, and all that pre-dome stuff, which is presumably there for the benefit of kids... There are plans to open a similar place on the site of the former gasworks in Dundee, which on the basis of this, I might not be rushing to join any queues for, any time soon! Presumably they'll have battery powered scooters that the less-able among us can hire? Only, there's absolutely no way I could walk anything like that distance, and on ground that isn't level...! Thanks for showing us round though, Stephen.
That climbing bush with the red flowers at the end of the video I think is a Bougainvillea. We have them all over the place in Southern California. Thanks for the tour Stephen!
....the Winter Gardens and Blackpool Tower used to have lovely gardens with exotic plants and Palm tress everywhere, rather than just the odd one or two....or plastic ones...but like the poor Lions etc in cages they're long gone now. I wonder if the Morecambe Eden Domes will be as big ?
I've been to the site in Morecambe. It's a bit like a sunken garden or something, but I can only see it being big enough for one Biome, unless they take the surrounding area as well.
In 1992 when I left Blackpool to australia I left to the far north of the Queensland and spent my first 9 months in the country in the tropics rainforest.
Absolutely brilliant Stephen, although we have been to Cornwall many times never visited the Eden project, obviously disabled friendly so will visit in the future😊😊
Fantastic video Stephen. You've just saved us a fortune. 80 dubloons for us to get in and a zillion quid in diesel to get there. Over a 1000 mile round trip for us. I wonder how much CO2 that'd emit! Loved your knowledge of birds.
" I'm not really on board with all this climate stuff to be fair " @ 12.56 made me laugh Stephen. Thanks for the vid, you have saved me £35, I won't be going.😊
It's been several years since I've been in there, I think the upper walkway in the rainforest biome gets closed quite a bit apparently for it being too hot up there.
Thanks for this! I’ve been wanting to visit The Eden Project for years but, due to work, lack of funds, distance from home and lots of other stuff taking up my time, I’ve not got round to it yet. Therefore I appreciate you filming your visit and I must say that the place looks very well laid out and incredibly well maintained!😍 Expensive it may be but these places are costly to run so I’m happy to pay for a high quality experience. I’m sure you’ll be looking forward to the new one opening just up the road from you in Morecombe. I’m sure you won’t be able to resist a visit.👍🏼
Stephen...Hello again...Really enjoyed this video...Often wondered what the Eden project was like...soon to come to Morecambe I believe....I am enjoying your new camera...looks great....As usual amongst the genuinely informative facts...more laugh out loud moments...I was imagining the 'Eden Top Brass' spluttering into their Camomile tea hearing you say 'More Climate Gubbins'...haha...Take care Stephen and keep the videos coming...they are much appreciated....Liverpool Kev..
Hi Stephen thank you for another great video as always very interesting place deffo looks like a rain forest thwt bridge looked a bit dodgy lol have a great evening xx
🤩 Hiya Steve, I booked a week away to Cornwall, the year COVID hit us, so didn't go, booked it for the end of September the same year, still didn't get to Cornwall, said I was going this year, but went to Blackpool instead, 🤭 came back with COVID. Will hopefully go to Cornwall next year. The Volvo is a nice car, but I'm with you , stick to my Diesel van.
Love my diesel van. I can drive up to 750 miles on a full tank & then simply fill up in 10 minutes and do another 750 miles. I'd like to know how far I could go if it was electric, and how long it would take to fully charge. Plus, I can't carry a spare battery (fuel can) just in case I run too low.
Enjoyed the plants and flowers but I'd always thought there were birds relevant to the countries living in there. Don't think it's my kind of thing either Stephen to be honest. Looked like a right palaver getting there and wasn't what I'd expected. Thank you so much for filming that for us Stephen , one to avoid for me I'm afraid.😊😊😊
We loved the Eden Project when we visited in 2016 when on holiday in Perranporth. Yes, it is expensive but there is so much to see. We went in July and inside the biodomes was stifling hot! If you dont like plants and flowers then this place is not for you but if you do, I would recommend visiting. Thanks for this one, Stephen😊
8 year's on the trot when I was a young lad going on a haven holiday in St Austell with my mum and dad I always wondered what the Eden Project was 🤣🤣. I actually thought it was a circus or some sort of entertainment building 🤣🤣. Yeah I only got to know via Google search what the Eden Project actually is 🤣🤣🤣. Great video 👍👍
Love the Eden project but my daughter lives in Cornwall so we get local discount, been several times now, very interesting. Be interesting to see what the northern one is like near Morecombe. Heligan gardens is another interesting place to visit too. As for climate change we'll have to agree to differ, but whether human caused or natural, future generations will have to adapt. Super video as always Stehen 😊❤
Hi Steven great video on the Eden Project.. I'm not sure on the truth of this but I think there is word on there being a a similar project to be built at Morecambe . from Tommy Yorkshire 😊👍✨✨✨✨✨
Steve, why aren't you 'on board' with climate change? Don't you believe in it or are you unsure what it means? Thank you for showing us how far car park is from the road (a similar distance to visit a stately home) and how far one would need to walk from the car park to the bio domes. Regardless of the expensive ticket price, the domes are much too far a walk. I would be in need of some form of disability transport both down to the domes and back up to the car park. 😢
I’m very sceptical of the narrative on climate change. Not that I don’t believe we should reduce pollution, of course. I think there is a lot of money chasing going on regarding climate change.
@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool I would like to believe there was some money chasing going on but, sadly, anyone who tries to do anything on climate change is shouted down by the mainstream media.
Great video Stephen, people who are climate changers are usually, rich, influencers, and spend more money on fuel, goods, than we could ever afford, I'll keep using my bag for life,
Thanks Stephen always wondered what it was like thre. Don't need to go now ha
Thanks Stephen for enduring this place and showing how hideously commercial it is.
Bit pricey 😮 to go in and a long walk to the entrance

I really loved seeing the Eden Project Stephen. I see you decided against wearing a fig leaf. Absolutely beautiful video, thank you 😘 xx
Thanks Moonage xx
Biggest problem there isn't the downhill walk to the domes, it's the long walk, uphill back!!!
Wow what a great day out! Id find that very interesting to visit , great bit of filming stephen x
Thanks Dawn.

There's one of these being developed in Dundee where I live, it's just been given the green light and is expected to be complete by 2030

Lucky you!

So it’s a conservation project devoted to the environment and all that… and people travel from all over the country by car to see it 😂😂
Ha ha ha. That's brilliant!!

True Carol 👍
Come to the States and you will be a climate change believer.
I believe the climate changes, but not in the way some would try to have us think.
Climate change, the new word for weather.🙄
Yes 👍
