    I'm Polynesian. My dad's grandfather is from Glasgow, Scotland. My bloodline tells me to do my homework of the Scottish heritage. 🙏❤️🙌

    The music. I knew this song many years ago in the Breton version of Alan Stivell's album "Chemin de Terre". Wonderful song, sweet and nostalgic. Thank you

    Le groupe Ossian avait l'art de jouer des musiques très apaisantes. Je ne me lasse pas de cette chanson interprétée par Billy Ross.

    I had just got back from the commercial fishing season where I spent much time away from humanity and as I sat on a buoy I listened to this song (thanks to you) and one side I looked at the town and the other I looked out to the sea, Islands and wilderness of Alaska and really, well I don't know what you would call it, it was more than realization, but I really saw who we all truly are and what our actions look like, as well as what they do. Pettiness and selfishness side by side with deep beauty. Once it would have been hard to believe that we are the bad guys here, look at art! look what we build! But I never understood that the Mona Lisa doesn't compare to a rainforest we destroy, the palace of Versailles doesn't compare to a race of animals, the Pyramids are less beautiful than the desert around them, all the wonders of the world don't compare to a mountain range or the sea. We fill the whole world with garbage and destroy everything beautiful then proclaim ourselves the best creation of them all. Once I did not understand, not I don't know how it isn't obvious.
    This is a beautiful and touching song and go figure its not about sex or money or fame, just have a good night.

      rmn878 Here here! That sounds like the reason I associate myself now more with Celtic Paganism then any of the mainstream garbage. :)

    Lyrics unfortunately look different then phonetic representations of English words, but here they are, (I think)
    1: Soraidh leibh is oidhche mhath leibh,
    Oidche mhath leibh 's beannachd leibh;
    Guidheam slàinte 'ghnàth bhi mar ribh,
    Oidhche mhath leibh 's beannachd leibh.
    2: Chan eil inneal-ciùil a ghleusar,
    'Dhùisgeas smuain mo chléibh gu aoibh,
    Mar nì duan o bheul nan caileag,
    Oidhche mhath leibh, beannachd leibh.
    3: Soraidh leibh is oidhche mhath leibh,
    Oidche mhath leibh 's beannachd leibh;
    Guidheam slàinte 'ghnàth bhi mar ribh,
    Oidhche mhath leibh 's beannachd leibh.
    4: Thuit ar crann air saoghal carach,
    'S coma siud, tha 'mhaitheas leinn,
    Bidh sinn beò an dòchas ro-mhath,
    Oidhche mhath leibh, beannachd leibh.

    The imagery reminds me so much of the Schartzwald in Deuthchland in 2011 but the music is more magical by far! Ossian was brilliant!

    I'm 100% American. My mom's and Uncle Bill's ancestors are from Ireland. Not too 100% sure where my dad's ancestors are from, but my last name tells me to do my homework on the MacFarland family history, where the MacFarland's are from, and such.

    A very good question...While the imagery is certainly beautiful (Pacific Northwest, yes? Always makes me homesick) , it was your choice of music that got my mind wandering off into another world...What that world might be remains to be written...Someday...Perhaps...I'm thinking about it...:::smiles:::...but yeah, that music definately inspired me. Thank you....and Goodnight to You, as well.

    This is wonderful. Once more, the flow of imagery, the editing, the majestic mountains and the entire 'scape is breath-taking. Envious as you've done a fab fab job of it all. Beaut moon shots especially ending ones and the splendour of that range, when you do finally splice them in, pretty spesh! All good, especially that name, Skamania, yep, a penchant for Madness and The Specials? ha!

      The words were by John MacFadyen and harmonised by Norman MacDonald (we sang it last night at our first face-to-face rehearsal, since last March).

    Your intro to the video says you drove up a gravel road and found an amazing vantage point. That was what I was referring to. I like the views from 1:06, 1:52, and -well I guess all of the mountain views! Where do I go to see these views? Your photos are very pretty.
