If i I tighten too much the gas is already flowing into the adapter, seems that even without the screw turned in the adapter the pin is too close to the cylinder valve. It works only if I hand tighten it. Maybe a thicker washer will solve the issue? Any idea where to get some?
@@KegLand The thick nylon washer is there but it seems to be not thick enough, maybe 1mm too less, the issue is here in Germany with different Sodastream cylinders. Any idea where i can get a thicker washer?
Bless this video!!!! I just bought your new adapter but attempted to attach it in the same manner as the old. I lost so much gas and i lacked a spanner to tighten so i gave up. Cheers!
Maybe someone here can help me with this question - this adapter allows you to connect a “type 30” regulator to it, but a lot of the aquarium regulators for sale here in Australia indicate they have a “W21.8” connection. Are they the same thing or would I need to buy another adapter to sit between this Sodastream adapter and the regulator?
Will answer my own question here - no further adapter is needed. So if you have a regulator with W21.8 threads in it, it WILL fit onto a type 30 connection. Just make sure you actually do tighten it down with a wrench, hand tightening it will drain the co2 overnight (which I just found out).
Thank you very much for this information. I asked everywhere, including a couple of messages to Kegland, and no one gave me a straight answer. They kept repeating "Our bottles are Type 30, which is not what I was asking. Thank you
I think I have the old one. There's a tiny hissing sound of gas leaking but I can't get a proper grip on the thing to tighten it without it slipping in my hands...might just go for force carb on this occasion?
Did you purchase this from our website? We have noticed a lot of other similar looking ones where the dimensions are not made correctly or where they have the incorrect thread. If you purchased it from us then contact our customer service team and they will sort you out.
I have a similar regulator. I connected it to a CO2 tank, and the other side to a Soda Stream machine. The pressure is very weakened won't carbonate. I can only increase regulator pressure to 45-50 before the safety relief values opens. What am I doing wrong?
It may be that your regulator has a safety relief valve whose pressure is 45 PSI? These guys sell safety releif valves that can be swapped in and out at different pressures
Yes I would make sure you purchase from one of our distributors in America. Each one of our distributors will stock the appropriate one for the country they re located in. www.kegland.com.au/distributor
You have some great stuff, I just wish I could get them over here in Sweden! I have another adapter with a "security hole" in the middle of it for when you detach a full bottle but when you attach the bottle a ton of CO2 escapes through that hole. This valve thing seems much smarter!
HI thanks for info.. Does anyone know if I can force carbonate my beer keg / 20L , 30L or 50L beer kegs with this 425G soda stream type gas bottle thanks
Yes we have made various improvements. If you still have the purchase details and it's under warranty please contact us so we can get your unit replaced.
I got a massive cold blister with the original type - so glad this exists!
Great explanation!!! I was having problems with connecting the gas cylinder but you helped me understand the anatomy of the attachment. thank you
Great video. Thank you. I have the new “quick connect” system from soda stream. Where can I get an adaptor to fill those kind of bottles?
Bloody brilliant video, that exactly what I wanted to know.👍

SHould have a thickish hard white nylon washer there, actually

Can I use this to my aquarium

@@bigbowlowrong4694 Thanks for coming back and writing that, a good piece of info!

how recently did Sodastream change to the booby trapped valve?

Where Can I buy the 10ft hose from the CO2 tank to sodastream machine?
The only easy optin we have is to use a couple of these extension hoses:

You've probably been asked this loads already, but any chance you could make an s30 version?

The SodaStream has a regulator in it. It expects tank pressure.
Saved the day for me....:)
I need it but no Option to buy at germany
Geat vid thanks, will look at using this for my aquarium .
I bought the new model, but i can't fit on my sodastream cylinder, had the USA sodastream thread (tr21x4)

Williams Brewing and More Beer will be your best bet.

Yes you can! But it is probably going to be more economical getting a larger bottle in the long run.
Do ypu have links ?
I think the colour of the jets has changed but they work in the same way. The spray jet fills the keg with a mist so the carbonation speed is faster.
Thanks for the video brother, where I find this equipment by the internet link???? I am from Brazil.

Cheers Thank you!
Do you ship to germany?
Not directly but we do. Best to check with local distributors. We have a map on our website.
Doing this for an aquarium with a dual gage regulator
Nice one!
Not quite true I have a deluxe adapter and gas still comes.outnin the video you don't mention you have to use white washer maybe update video
The old adapter may be more reliable than the new one. I bought the new adapter and after 4 months it is now leaking right from the screw valve.
Yes we have made various improvements. If you still have the purchase details and it's under warranty please contact us so we can get your unit replaced.
same as that, thought it was a nylon washer needed replacing but now the air is pissing out the screw valve hole
Teflon tape? Anyone?
I don't recommend this product, the braided tube connected to the co2 regulator leaks.
