@Danny T I like CMMG, but jesus, that's ridiculous. I don't even understand how it's legal for a company to take your $, and then make you wait that long for a product. At that point it's not an order, it's a short term loan

Great, about 1year too late as I already made a frankenstein colt style lower working with the radial delay blowback. Dialing in the mag to feed ramp and mag to proper clearance for bcg was a bear, this would've made my months of tinkering a piece of cake. I do really love the RDB as I have 2 setups running them.

I'd really like to see a scorpion lower. I really like my PSA AR-V, but would love to be able to use the Radial Delay Blowback system with scorpion mags. IN THEORY, I might be able to make it work if I removed the fixed extractor, but I don't have the tools to try this myself.
You guys should create 12.5" barrel length uppers for 9mm (and other calibers). The 12.5" size are big in states like NJ, NY, CT where we have "OTHER" firearms due to "Assualt Rifle" restrictions. This size gets us over the 26" minimum for legality. Just a suggestion.

@@hikeskool colt pattern smg mags not only look better but are more naturaly inserted into the mag-well. The backward rake of a glock mag isn't a natural way to insert a mag into a rifle. On top of that pistol type mags like sig 320 and glock mags arn't made to lock a rifle bolt back and require complex, flimsy, and unreliable bolt hold open systems, or they just forgo bolt hold open systems altogether. Where as the colt smg mag is designed to lock a m16/ AR15 bolt back and can use a much more traditional bolt lock like an AR does. Colt pattern mags are simply better in submachine gun type weapons.
@@mericaeagle9319 that's fine man I understand you're allowed your prejudices and superstitions. OEM Glock mags are obviously more abundant, less expensive, lighter, and compatible with roughly one trillion more accessories than Colt pattern.
Reliability and ergo are potential tossups. That's largely a function of training and weeding out shitty gear. Is anyone really gonna question the reliability of an OEM Glock mag? Edge to Glock here for less weight and more-grippable flat black plastic with a fat floor plate compared to steel.
Your feeding issues and things like LRBHO are now weapon-specific problems since, again, there are roughly one trillion platforms that take Glock mags. Pick one with LRBHO, nice mag well, etc.
You want to look like an 80s action star, and that's fine. No problem, but don't act like this is about functionality and reliability, especially in the context of the MkGs CMMG line 👌
I prefer less plastic on my guns and currently dont own one plastic gun
I ended up using their ARC mags mainly because I didn't want to have to upgrade my belt line and kit to use SMG style mag pouches. Then again, I could've just ordered a placard and run that for more ammo (5 SMG vs 3 AR body). I may revisit this. LOL

My experience with CMMG has been good.......I have a couple MK9 lowers that are really great.......just a little tweaking of the ejecters and both rock 'n roll..........lots of fun, cheap to shoot, and no recoil...lol

We have different department. Engineering and production operate separately. Our engineers don't stop designing if production gets backed up.

I could see the radial delayed system being used in 9mm handguns. The desert Eagle could be upgraded to this system fairly easy since it's half way there already.
I don’t know if it would be a good idea when you are talking about magnum cartridges such as 44mag and 50ae.

What size counter weight would you recommend for a CGS suppressor and the 5" barrel? Can the Law folding stock be installed on the Banshee?
...I thought all your guns were already radially delayed. How and why was the Colt mag variant any different from the Glock mag version?
The Mk9 was a traditional or straight blowback. There was no delay. We finally brought all of our 9mms to Radial Delayed.

I realize this may be a stupid question. I'm just a little lost and new to the AR9 world. Can I buy a standard M4 stripped upper receiver from your website and throw in the RDB kit w/ the barrel and bcg in it to build my own RDB MK9?

So, did the ATF ever clarify the ruling on the brace? Is it a pistol or an SBR? Does it take a special permit/license to own? I really really want one.

The AFT doesn’t make anything clear in order to keep you guessing and give you a false sense of what your rights are. The brace has been in the market for years to the tune of 10-30 million sales. If the firearm is presented in the free market as a pistol, its a pistol and if you want it…Get it. All it took from me is the 4473 form.
I cut down my mag release and a bunch of other stuff to make it fit. I guess better late than never.

Regarding your question, we still have a full line of 22LR uppers varying in barrel lengths from 4.5" to 16". Go to our website > Uppers and Lowers > Uppers, then sort by 22LR.

Nonsense! Reconfigure my flawless DBB Mark 9 for RDB?! How about I just build another M9 with with RDB so that old faithful has a new little brother. I like that idea better.
I assume the old ejector needs to be removed.
EDIT: Watched it again and you mentioned removing an ‘extractor’ at 1:39. You meant ‘ejector’, right?
Its a completely new and proprietary lower, they explained it like "We ChAnGeD a CoUpLe PaRtS" but its a complete redesign. The magazine sits lower than a direct blowback system, new feedramp geometery, ejector is gone since its now a part of the boltface. This is totaly uncompatable with any direct blowback colt lower.
"*Ejector" correction should have been on screen as that was said.
My Mk57 Banshee is hands down my favorite freedom stick that I’ve ever owned, so I can only imagine how much fun the Mk9 wIth RDB would be! I bet it’ll be even more fun knowing that crazy Joe’s gun control-loving ass bought it for me with the dems upcoming stimulus check!
Out of curiosity, what are you paying for that ammo?
@@hikeskool I’m paying $30-$45 per 50 round box of 5.7x28 on average. Typically I can pick up Federal brand for around $30-$35, and FN brand closer to $45.

Unfortunately we do not test with other manufacturers' lowers. It's theoretical that you could use our upgrade kit on their products, but we cannot guarantee it.

My CMMG lower parts kit minus FCG and pistol grip has a couple out of spec parts. Particularly the forward pivot pin.

So let me get this straight. I buy the upgrade kit, and my Banshee 9 upper will function with my mk9? Is that MK9 RDB Upper same as Banshee 9 upper?
I do have my Maxim Defense CQB Stock on my MK9 with SCS in it. It runs almost smooth as MP5.
Yes. Buying the Mk9 upgrade kit will allow your Mk9 lower to work with our Radial Delayed Blowback upper. The upgrade kit will not work with the original Mk9 upper though.

didint know there was that much of a demand for colt magazines as opposed to glock mags.
Scorpion mags would require a completely redesigned lower and upper since they are too wide for either.
@@brighthought11 alot of guys have been hacking up blowback colt mag lowers for a while, many more have directly asked cmmg for this lower. Its the reason I haven't gotten one yet.
