As someone who played both Voxlblades and has been a long time fan it truly is sad to see both of them flop due to lack of content and the dev not wanting to communicate with his community big sadge
idk how northern kingdom hasnt been added yet considering the entire build of the city has been pretty much finished for like 6 months... I think that update and the deadlands dungeon update will revive the game a lot.
bawxol didn't abandon the game, but he definitely released the game too early. there should've been more content for when you've finished your build. he still is active (sort of) in the community and does listen to suggestions (currently a few hybrid armor buffs are going to be implemented in the next patch, along with re-usage of shrine of regret at a cost). at least something like a level 50 dungeon could've helped a ton, or just some content regarding deep tundra or an expansion to the deadlands. compared to other devs, bawxol is really good at balancing things out but overall focused on these nerfs/buffs over content which kind of killed the game. the people who play this game now consist of people who just found out about it and people who like making new builds (i do, but its getting old since i have over 35 files above level 40).
I played both the first Voxlblade and the current remake and both of them had big issues, the first one had barely any build variety and there was no point in replaying the game because nothing changes when you play again, the same quests and goals as your last run. Voxlblade remake was somewhat better but in the end had a variant of that same issue, the devs added the multiple weapon paths but there was no point in making something unique because the only goal in the game is to deal damage, and if your unique build doesn't let you 1 shot corrupted 2x true damage dungeons, there is no point in playing because the game turns into a slog of grinding. The meta just turned into thousands of people going dex + prisoner armour set (which gave insane damage stats that can't be compared to anything else) meaning if you had a cool whacky build, you were irrelevant and there was no reason to allow you to join into dungeon raids etc. I feel like a lot of players got disheartened to play the game after spending hours grinding to make something they though was cool and viable in combat only to find out they could have made a build like the other 1000 people with half the effort and 10x damage. This is the reason I personally stopped playing, especially because at the time you were not able to re-make your build so if you wanted to do lots of damage you had to re-do all the grind all over again.
And man, so many people asked for mobile support already, it will make the game sky rocket too 2k-3k players, i know that for bawxol voxlblade is just a passion project,but he could also make the game bit more popular by simply adding the support

Currently the game sits between 600-1.2k players,so it isnt doing bad,the people cant be bothered playing because there is too much stuff you have to learn about as a newbie,which requires you to constantly use trello to actually enjoy the game, so yeah this game isnt suited for new players
i don't understand how the game is being updated this slowly when they probably have over half a million of robux to at least get some other developers
I spent hundreds of hours maxing,enchanting,grinding coins,dungeons and other stuff,events and more just to complete my set,now all my hard work is gone to absolute shit thanks to bawxol not wanting to let people have fun in a game that doesn't even update monthly,what makes it worst is that the gameplay is 90% just walking around the map and doing it over and over and over again just to be able to actually do stuff,it lacked content and was dry like arcane oddysey,but arcane oddysey on the other hand actually revived their game by releasing the underwater update which is hyped by the community. My only problem with voxlblade is overtime it gets drier and drier,no matter how much you try to have fun,not to mention certain builds we're nerfed to the earth's core and that's another reason it died. If only bawxol cared about his community...

i have 400 hours of voxl and still got plans on it voxlblade is a game for ppl who want to make sick builds just cuz they want to see it working, wether it being a new build or an existing one from yt videos voxl's replayability is in making builds: done that one? used that one? do another one, you have almost infinite possibilities of playstyle few are the people that like that kind of game, few are the people that play it no matter how many balance changes or content they add, it'll never going to be a near frontpage game and no, theres no way voxl is having pvp
Bawxol doesn't want people having OP builds, why is this a problem? Because the fun part of RPGs is getting crazy strong and steamrolling enemies, and removing that aspect makes RPGs way less fun, this applies so much more so to Voxl since it's PVE only My build went from literally 1000 DPS to 100 ish DPS, and I spent dozens of hours perfecting it, of course I'm not gonna make a new build....

I love this game, but after a while it got really repetitive to the point I just gave uo and my half-assed build cuz I didn't know how the game worked at first. I like the game and I love rugs but the lack of new things to do has kept me away. :/

If they revived the Deadlands, made them actually relevant and added Void/Northern Kingdom, the game would definitely be doing better.

I did like 5 progressions and I just got extremely bored
