2024 125cc Two Stroke Shootout film day! We brought out the KTM 125SX, Husqvarna TC125, GASGAS MC125 and Yamaha YZ125 to Cahuilla Creek Motocross Park. One final showdown to see who reigns supreme in the 125 class in 2024. Test Riders Jared Hicks, Mark Tilley, Carson Brown, and Sean Lipanovich all got their chance to ride the bikes and give their opinions throughout the day. Great show! Anyone else polished the exhaust port and power valve wells on the YZ's? Seems to crisp it up, Greased up the rear suspension linkage too before the first ride, took massive patience but so easy to do with a clean bike. Still have to march the cylinder to cases on next top end. Would love a counterbalanced and electric start for the YZ's but I'm 65 and 5. 9. You guys had too much fun! Love Minnesota but miss dirtbiking in SoCal!

Thanks! Just taking you guys along for the ride as we shoot all these bikes and test them. California id definitely unique in that regard. Not many places you can ride all year long and wear shorts lol.

Northern Minnesota to Michigan's upper peninsula are some awesome dual sport camping/riding! We have the lakes and 70 degree summers!

I think I’m gonna buy the yz, the last bike I owned was a 2008 Ktm sx 250f but don’t think I need that kind of bike anymore I’m going for the smoker

In the next week or two. We are going to have each bike test video first to give you guys an idea of what we thought on them. Then we''ll have full results. It takes a while to weigh, dyno, test all of these bikes. Getting the filming out of the way is just part of the battle
what bike should i get if i want to start riding?
the only reason i would stay away from the husky, ktm, and gas gas 125 models in 2024 is they are having crazy issues and detonation problems. for that reason i would get a 2023 gas gas 125 which was the fastest of the year or a 2024 yz125. And just so you know i have a 2023 husqvarna tx300 which is my favorite bike i’ve ever ridden and the best looking by far.

The funny part is they are clowing on the 125 2 stroke when it takes a 4 stroke with twice the size of a motor to compete.... jokes on you modern mustache gen z 🤣 2 strokes are better in everything, especially bike maintenance and performance! Lets see a 125 4 stroke even try to compare, aint happening
Funny part is you misinterpreted having fun vs making fun . Sorry you are upset but think you read way way way way way too deep into a group of guys who ride all these bikes and enjoy them
Kind of pointless to test 3 bikes that are the same really.
Are they the same? Different bars,tires, suspension settings, brake components (gasgas) , and air boxes. None of that changes how the bikes feel on the track? Might want to look at our Dyno numbers from Pro Circuit on our website =)
@@DirtBikeMagazine cool buy two more YZs than and put different bars and vent the air boxes different for each and it would be the same thing. KTM has really hurt the sport more than help it by having almost half the field be really the same cookie cutter bikes just different colors. Save dying brands that’s cool but don’t just make them clones.
@@DirtBikeMagazine not to mention KTM groups price gouging has really driven up cost and hurt the sport. Their bikes do nothing worth the extra price tag and all it has done it drive up the cost of every brand.
