- The Summit 54 is being marketed as a performance yacht that is built like a blue water cruiser. That is a fantastic description as Summit Yachts is the sister company to Kadey-Krogen Yachts, who are well known for their build quality and sea keeping abilities. The Summit 54 has a planning hull that was designed by Michael Peters Yacht Design that allows for over 1200 nautical mile range at 7.5 knots, but can be pushed all the way up around 25 knots!!
The yacht is powered by twin 542hp Cummins QSB 6.7 diesel engines, with a 750 gallon fuel capacity as standard. The engine room has plenty of space and light to allow for ease of maintenance, including on the generators, and air conditioning units as well.
The accommodation onboard is some of the best detail, craftsmanship, and design I have ever seen on a yacht of this size. The aft cockpit and the interior galley form one large open space thanks to an opening window that can be raised, and large sliding glass doors that can be opened. The saloon is right next to the lower helm allowing you to stay close to your guests as you cruise, or you can cruise with your guests from the spacious flybridge instead.
At the helm, you fill find state of the art electronics including multi function displays, bow and stern thrusters, windlass controlls, VHF, AIS, auto pilot, and so much more!!
Down below, you have a VIP guest cabin on the bow, a single guest cabin to starboard that would make a great crew cabin, and then the owners stateroom midships.

Absolutely love these boats!!!
I do as well. There aren't many boats to compare it to either. My knee jerk reaction was Fleming and maybe Beneteaus Swift line, but these are so modern and stylish that they kind of have a design of their own.

Sure looks like a Kadey Krogen on the outside, but quite different on the inside. Would be a fine way to do the Great Loop.
I'm a big fan of fast trawlers. Cruise at slow speed when you need the range, power on up when you want to beat the weather, or get to a destination. This one would be a great option for the loop where you would ideally want a mix of both 🤠

What year is it and how much are you asking for it ?
This was the demo model on display at the Ft Lauderdale Boat Show. The price of a new order is all very much dependent on the specification and time of order. For an accurate price, you can reach them directly at

as much as i like krogen boats, i think they need to return to the drawing board for the entire main deck of this model. the galley is literally more than 50 percent of the entire main deck leaving no proper saloon on a 55 foot vessel. so many recent yachts have fallen victim to this absurd trend..
Agreed, and so many have saloon seating like a doctors waiting room...😊
Personally, I think it depends on your intent for the yacht. If you plan on having groups of people onboard regularly, then this has the perfect layout for entertaining. If you plan on just husband and wife cruising, then the layout might not be the best option.
