I've had an Evo 2 Pro for a while and I love it. So, when Evo put the Nano + on sale, and Best Buy put it on an even bigger sale (the Nano + Premium bundle is currently $100 less at Best Buy than on the Autel site, here in the beginning of April, 2023), I snapped one up. I've read many reviews from people I respect, who say it's very weak in the wind. The scary thing is not having a place on the controller to hold the control sticks. I decided to purchase a spare pair of control sticks from Autel, and they don't even list them for sale on their site. I guess if I lose a control stick, I have to go to the hardware store and cobble together a replacement. I haven't had a chance to fly my Nano yet, but FWIW, the RTH on my Evo 2 Pro is excellent.
I like that it doesn't appear to have any of the "geo zone authorisation" artificial restrictions that DJI drones have, so I may pick one of these up. I returned my Mini 2 because I don't like it when a product that I have paid for and own restricts what I can and can't do with it.
Thank you, superb video, cant thank you enough. Looking forward to future videos too. You explained the Autel Nano + brilliantly, and I feel more confident now.
I have an older Autel drone and I had it registration through the FAA. I wonder if my number is still good, I haven't done anything for the last 10 years.. Thank you so much for your video..
Hello i wish you could help me I don't know which drone should I buy if the nano plus or the Dji Mini 3 standard not the pro, I had the mini 2 and never had a problem or issue but I like the nano plus but people has said that I had problems with connection or problems with the return home and some other things can some one helped me please
I worry that I am not putting the cover back on correctly,, it slips on, but it does not look perfectly squared like the EVO II Pro, will this damage the drone?
Yes, there is insurance, which includes 2 replacements. You get a prompt for the insurance during the activation step. You have 48 hours after activation to purchase it. There's a button to go straight to purchase during the activation.
You were very helpful in your video, thank you! I have a question because I need to fly in villages, on small paths and between trees etc, so, how can I avoid the avoidance sensors?
I couldn't start the update, it tells me that no SD card installed. Do I have to have SD card to continue the firmware update? Please help with the answer.
Hi Ahmad, sorry to hear that! If you're trying to update the drone directly through the app, it shouldn't be asking for an SD card to be installed. It looks like others have experienced this problem...you might need to send it back, but first I'd try putting an SD card in there to see if it works? Here's a summary of what I'm seeing >> www.autelpilot.com/blogs/tips-tutorials/update-the-firmware-of-evo-nano-drone
Hi Graeme, thanks for you question. After you land the drone, you can turn it off, and you can just close the app. I can't tell by your question, but maybe your app is freezing on you? If that's the case, I would reach out to Autel directly.
Not yet, here's the list of drones (and a friendly reminder that drone pilots don't have to comply with Remote ID until September of 2023) >> uasdoc.faa.gov/listDocs
the camera is actually superior and no geofencing... but the quad flight characteristics are weak....this thing can't fight wind like it should (like the mini 2 DOES) and the customer support is pretty bad
@@Matanumi yeap the camera is superior and the geofencing is a good thing about the nano. However, it looses in all the other specs and the crappy control.
I just bought it with 50% off.
It’s my first ever drone and just watched this to know everything better than the guide that comes with it.
Thanks!

I just bought one and I must say the RTH is pretty spot on. Can't fault it using a 75cm landing pad.
Yes, I did. Thanks.

Yah, that's one of the big differences between Autel and DJI!
Thank you for this Well Explained Tutorial .
Wind is the Achilles heel on this damn thing
Excellent Tutorial Video! Thank You.
Thank you for sharing this video tutorial for Autel Nano+ (Plus). I am planning to add Autel to my mini drone fleet.
Glad you enjoyed the video! Blue skies and safe flying!
Excellent review. Very complete, thank you.

Glad it was helpful, Andrew!

Thank you so much for your video..
Glad you enjoyed the video! Drone registration needs to be renewed every 3 years!
The joystick holders are on the back top of the remote. They screw in.

Autel drones dont require internet or a user account like dji do they?
I dispise DRM. (Pc gaming term lol)
Excellent content. Thank you. Does Autel off insurance like DJI? Didn’t see that in setup.

Comparing to Mini SE? Apples to oranges. You could buy 3 SEs for the price of one Nano+.
no kidding...an air2s would be a better comparison
You were very helpful in your video, thank you!
I have a question because I need to fly in villages, on small paths and between trees etc, so, how can I avoid the avoidance sensors?
Yes, you can turn off obstacle avoidance in the settings!
No puedo conectarme al RC me aparece desconectado!! Ayuda porfavor!!!

when I stop the drone, how to properly shut down the software operation as my handphone show still running app until I force to stop the app?

New firmware available today :)
Are these remote ID compatible?

And I thought brand new DJI's were expensive...
Buy now mad sales being had....
I still think the price should be lower but then it's a sick alternative to DJI
Mini 3 will kick this one out . Comparing it with se it’s like comparing the air 2 with the tello
Pause pause.... NOT :)
