Mollie told me it wasn't a pawn shop but a vintage store. My apologies. :D
Rock albums in a "vintage store"...what a bunch of old farts we are. Let's go "antiquing" for rock n roll.
We forgive you
Yeah. I can't picture Mollie in a pawn shop. :-0
Very good choices nice one Mollie
In Concert was the first live Doors I had as well, on cassette. Alive She Cried and Hollywood Bowl were e.p.s released in the 80s, Hollywood Bowl had a radio edit of Light My Fire on it. Most of their live material has been officially released now, full concerts, but what you're holding in this video is still my favorite. And I agree on American Prayer, the new music they added was a bit disco era, but it sounded great. And I liked how naughty some of the poetry was.
I like the third pair the best
As a fan of Yoko, I think you’ll dig Milk & Honey. It’s the album John & Yoko were working on when he was shot. Her songs here are especially sweet and sad. O’Sanity is a favorite of mine.
🇺🇸I find these unboxings very relaxing after a stressful day.🇨🇦
Yes. They're my go-to videos to unwind to. Larry's voice is very soothing.
Love John lennon. You are awesome man, keep doing what you are doing!!!
A Passion Play is my personal favorite from Jethro Tull. It’s their most progressive rock sounding album. Even more than Thick As A Brick
Ah, yes. It's been years since I have seen the groove patterns of the vinyl version of Fragile. I'd recognize them anywhere. I have loved that album since I was very young. Close To The Edge is great too.
That TB Sheets album is really good!
"Close To The Edge" didn't come with a booklet ("Fragile" and "Yessongs" did).
Hi Larry. Great that you can get CDs when most record stores have closed in recent years. I recommend you listen MILK AND HONEY by John and Yoko. It's a very good album like a second part of Double Fantasy and very enjoyable.
My version of MILK AND HONEY is 2001 edition with the last interview of John Lennon.
Greetings from Monterrey, Mexico.
Ah, you know you've got a good woman when she buys you records.
Has Mollie gone home? Great video again!
Yes, she was here for four days.
You should start spinning vinyl again. All the cool kids are doing it. Music as it was intended to be heard. One side at a time. The full size album art is worth the price of admission alone.
I think "music as it was intended to be heard" is actually LIVE. Honestly I prefer CDs to vinyl.
They are so easy !! But when I'm feeling chilled you can't beat the good old album !!!!😼😸😹😻
The "T.B. Sheets" is from the Bang sessions that were Van's recording session from 1967, where his so-called first album came from. He had no rights to the recordings so the owner kept re-releasing them. "Bang Masters" has all 18 tracks including the 8 on "T.B. Sheets."
Universal Mind on Absolutely Live. Great song and they never recorded a studio version.
Love I’m Stepping Out, I Don’t Wanna Face It and the prophetic Borrowed Time on Milk And Honey. The rest is so so.
Oh, and I don't know if you ever heard other post Morrison music they made. Aside from Other Voices and Full Circle, which I think you've mentioned, I also quite like a couple Ray Manzarek albums from the 70s, Golden Scarab and The Whole Thing Started With Rock And Roll And Now It's Out Of Control.
If you dont mind me askin stud what did mollie buy you for christmas ya a good man
Lots of clothes and more personal things. :)
First🏅And liked👍Love Robert Smith too.
Fragile had a half booklet stapled in the gatefold
Mine is a tall but thin booklet inserted in the album cover no attached pages in the USA release. Close To The Edge had no booklet.
Just find beat up copies of the albums with booklets (for cheap). "Cannibalize them for parts." American Prayer was a late 70's release when The Doors resurgence happened about the time of Apocalypse Now. I remember Rolling Stones' Jim Morrison magazine cover, "He's Hot, He's Sexy, He's Dead". On a side note, just got trifocals myself.
Great video Larry!
Did you hear the new single by Pearl Jam?
Not yet but I will.
Disappointed Doors fan, here. Thanks for acknowledging us, Larry. ;-) I have all their (Morrison-era) studio albums (plus "Wierd Scenes Inside the Goldmine") on vinyl.
Yes, heard you were considering stopping the Doors favourite songs list Larry. It appears you did! Shame!
Whenever I slur my words or completely misprounciticate words I blame it on these mail-order dentures I got.
A Passion Play is the best album of all time!
I like Tull but I don't think that's their best album. I prefer Aqualung and Songs From the Wood.
Hey Larry do you happen to know the progressive rock band Marillion by any chance?
Yes, was listening to them on Spotify last week but not a big fan.
Please stop making a "SPEC"tacle of yourself. All good classic unboxed artists. I see Jinx is once again thrilled with the video. Take care.
«I’m color blind with red and green» lol the irony you’re sitting in a red and green Cure shirt😃
You are wearing a The Cure-T-Shirt! Are you kind of ther music? I saw them live on stage 3 times: 1997,2001 and 2017. Take care both of you (oh I forgot your cats).
I keep thinking you're greg Williams with those new glasses. He's a football coach for the jets in the u.s. so you probably don't know who i mean lol
Is "Fragile" pronounced so that it rhymes with "smile" or with "bill"?
NaughtyVampireGod I like to say it so it rhymes with manilli like in a Christmas story. 😉
@@maryannlockwood7806 Sounds very classy that way. Italiano.
I think John Lennon might have got hair implants Larry,he had more hair there at 40 then he had as a Beatle in his twenties and he was also a good friend of Elton John who got hair implants around the same time,Elton John also happened to be Sean's Godfather, hey he was a multi millionaire so why not. Bob.
Hi Bob.
@@NaughtyVampireGod Hello Naughty. Bob.
He had a balding patch at the crown.
