    ‘Most of the guys at my Academy, have about 60lbs on me, but since purchasing your ‘Kimura Attack system’ and ’14 days’ everything has changed. I feel much more confident, roll better and the guys on the mat have commented on the same. Thanks, Coach Tom’ - Dallas, TX
    ‘I know you have your names for your courses, but I’ve renamed them the ‘Zero to hero’ courses, I went from getting constantly owned, to now being completely dominant on the mat in no time at all’ - San Diego, California
    ‘I use the course material heaps, and just recently put it into action at a local comp, walked away with double gold. No one was more surprised than me! - Miami, Florida
    ‘As a new white belt, these classes have helped me so much, Prof Tom’s technique, the details, and his attitude. I love how Prof. Tom shows the ‘mistakes people make’ and then shows the correct way of doing things. The only one I have ever seen do this’ - New York, New York
    Great videos, great instruction. I just watch them for hours…Melbourne, Australia
    ‘The instructional saved me big time at a recent comp, my opponent was def more experienced, but that was ok, coz I had Prof Tom’s video in my brain. Nailed it and scored gold’ - Colorado, Denver

    ‘You really have to watch every second of the video because Prof, Tom drops these little nuggets of gold throughout the course. And they make ALL the difference. The only one doing this. Keep them coming Professor’ - NY, New York
    ‘If I could only be taught from one person, Prof Tom would be it. I can’t wait to train in person one day’ - Dallas, TX
    ‘Went to a recent competition with these videos fresh in my mind. I knew I had an edge and the confidence this gave me was unreal. Got the gold. All submission wins! - LA, California

    Hey Coach. Big thanks for this (and many of your other) videos. I've only been grappling about a year now. The guillotine has been there so many times but I always had a hard time finishing it. On top of that, I'd always get exhausted after trying them. I watched your video this morning and then rolled with a buddy this afternoon. Holy crap I hit more guillotines in one afternoon than I have in the last 9 months! lol it was awesome. Thanks so much for the details in this video. The chin-strap makes so much more sense to me now. Thanks very much from Texas.

      Awesome job and thanks for the kind words! Hopefully we can share the mats some day when I am in Texas (I will be back there next there in March). Happy rolling (-: Coach Tom Davey

    Today I was sparring bjj and got too many guillotines in, unable to finish any. I wasn´t paying attention to squeezing elbows in part, thanks. Will keep in mind

    Hey coach Tom, great video. I was put on this submission and my spine was hurting, the guy did it like a guillotine but with the chin strap. Can you please make a video for the counter of this move?
    Thank you.

    Does this require good flexibility in the shoulder ? Find the thumb / bone not high enough in the throat and angle of shoulder is strange /extended

    Is guillotine good for guys with long arms? I am good at darces but guillotine was always hard to do. Any advices?

    • @TheGrapplingAcademy
      @TheGrapplingAcademy  6 років тому +2

      With the chin strap, long arms are a guillotine asset! (-: Coach Tom Davey

    And no GI Ezekiel choke (iron fist choke) some guys say its a dick move choke I do apologize for the bad language I have heard people are not a fan of this choke as it can come on strong and really hurt someone and I'm not for hurting people especially your training partner as we are meant to learn from each other whilst training and not try to inflict pain on your partner etc...also I see an awesome choke off of a channel I follow like this channel some solid instruction teach me grappling. Com channel awesome and this channel awesome... Peace

    I will not show it to my white colegues, becouse they will rip my head off. Once they excited about anakonda roll[with only neck]. Jet I'm alive, dont ask me why xD

    • @TheGrapplingAcademy
      @TheGrapplingAcademy  6 років тому +1

      Great question Adrian. Traditionally its a short stocky guy technique however I find if I use the chin strap set up series, long arms are an asset as long arms create space for neck rotation whereas with the chin, no rotation is possible and our longer arms can reach the far cheek easier from more positions! hey tom, great video. Have used a lot of your techniques on the mat with great success (leg lasso catapult sweep is my favorite), and now i came here looking to get that guillotine right. But i have always been a bit unsure how this choke is supposed to be finished. Is it indeed a choke is in restricting the blood flow to the neck (like a RNC) or is it simply cranking the trachea?

    • @TheGrapplingAcademy
      @TheGrapplingAcademy  6 років тому +2

      While the guillotine can be made to cut off bloodflow, it is primarily a choke targeting the trachea. One of my favourites! (-: Coach Tom Davey
