I’d love you to do an episode with Uncle Elmo on Brubaker’s latest ‘Houses of the Unholy’, it’s a great read too, I guess that’s normal for any new Brubaker/Phillips, they don’t miss.
I have that one and will be reading soon! If me and Elmo can get together in time this could be possible!

Awkward pauses kept! Love it. There are definite advantages for digital - I tried it but I still love the physical! Elmo is a great guest - I like his accent. I hate doing it but I skipped the spoilers.
Well go read the first two books (they are really quick) and then go watch all of this and let me know if you agree!
Glad that "3.0 jobs" joke from last time got a chuckle lol. I did the same thing Elmo did reading this one in bed, dropped it right on my face! It's like "ok, I need to put it away until tomorrow". So it took me a few days to read this one which was strange because I also liked this one more than the first but read that one in one sitting. Definitely going to have to read the next one before you guys review it, but I'm probably not going to have book 5 or Night Fever in time for your video so I might have to skip it when that time comes. *Mild Spoiler* if you haven't seen the movie Scream 3, but this book has quite a few similarities to that movie. Syd's mom was a wannabe actress that did a few B Movies. Carrie Fisher plays a secretary that has some inside info. Lance Henriksen plays a sleazy producer that hits differently in the wake of the Weinstein scandle (especially since Scream 3 was produced by the Weinsteins). And Roger Corman makes a brief cameo in that movie also as a producer when they first show the movie set near the beginning (standing on the porch of the house).
Hah! Thanks for that info on Scream 3! WOW that IS a lot of similarities! I seen the first 2 Screams and then kind of fell off. I will have to get caught up. Elmo and I don't get together very often to do these so you just might get ahead of us on the Reckless books. Thanks for watching.
@@LarrysLibrary Well damn! I didn't mean to spoil any of it. Luckily those aren't really very big spoilers. And it's not totally the same, but it's enough that I kept getting the same vibe to where I thought either Brubaker did a Scream marathon before writing it or it's just one of those out in the open Hollywood secrets. Probably the latter. Hope I didn't ruin anything for any of your viewers either. But it's a 20 year old movie lol. And even though I like it, it is probably the weakest of the bunch so you're not really missing much. Maube worth checking out just to see what I'm taking about I guess
