It's interesting how different anime made it to different parts of the world. For me it was all about Starblazers (Space Battleship Yamato) and Battle of the Planets (Gatchaman). Even within the United States different anime were in different markets and I was really never exposed to the giant mecha anime, only the figures.
Bandai has produced a ridiculous amount of variations of their SoC Mazinger Z and a lot are barely distinguishable. I considered getting the 50th Anniversary version (GX-105) but decided it was too similar to the one I already own.
I was waiting for this new one from Bandai and finally got it I agree I don’t buy them just because it’s mazinger like many people that buy whatever the brand is just because they collect I like high quality and with this Bandai I am done now dream come true
I do a lot of comparison shopping. I've bought from other sites but if the prices are close I prefer BBTS because I find their customer service excellent. I also prefer BBTS over Amazon because they ship with more care and I prefer to support a smaller figure store.

Bandai really loves they're Mazinger Z, like how many rendition Mazinger Z have in the soul of chogokin lineup plus SRC, kits to mention.
