The eartip design should help you pick. For me, I like the eartips of the freepods lite for comfort. The sound quality + spatial audio on the Freepods Neo, I like it. That doesn't mean the sound quality of Freepods Lite is not good. So, choose one. Go for the Neo if it doesn't mind the no eartips design.

Not by a massive score. To me, they are close. If you want to change your lovely but scratched or faulty ES2, then this is a good switch.
