Penetration doesn't remove/reduce the resistance, it ignores it. Having more magic pen than somebody's MR won't amplify your damage past what it would be if they had zero MR. It's still pretty useful since it's only overkill on people with zero bonus MR, but in most cases, it's optimal to get a mixture of flat damage, pen, and haste.

With his passive fully-stacked, some champs without MR (and no one built MR because I was playing GP) would truly go into negative MR values and the DPS was wonky as hell. It did way more damage than it mathematically should have, with stuff like Sunfire doing better than double damage. It was hilarious and I had an Irelia lose her shit on me about it.

I got a rammus way below 0 armor because I ulted him when his aftershock was proqed and he used W. His W ran out for some reason and he had like -300 armor. Flat penetration 4. Percentage penetration So if Target A has 80 magic resistance. The 80 is reduced to 60 by the 20 magic resistance reduction. The 60 is reduced to 42 by the 30% magic resistance reduction. The 42 is considered to be 27.3 by the 35% magic resistance penetration. The 27.3 is considered to be 17.3 by the So the target takes dmg equal to 17.3 mr Target B has 18 magic resistance. The 18 is reduced to −2 by the 20 magic resistance reduction. The −2 is not affected by any further calculations because it is less than 0. Target B takes damage as if it has −2 magic resistance. I hope that helps some people
Should do a mage with collector and/or axiom, it is comical in ARAM at least lol. Teemo and Brand can trigger the collector a LOT with their dots haha.
Whenever I play against irellia I have a rule of never fighting her no matter what. Because her whole kit is to win 1v1 but she loses in team fights if she doesn’t get fed. So if you don’t fight her she eventually loses. Plus the irellia usually gets bored after a while and will turret dive you for no reason and die most games.
This game is perfect representation of league of legends. If you don’t play certain busted legends*, you have to just sit under your turret for 20 minutes and hope the opposite team gets too cocky and feed. The enemy team literally walked around thinking (and in some cases actually doing or very close to) 1v2ing the enemy team regardless of their cs or level. But yet, we still play 😭😭😂😂🥴😵

Irelia’s first mistake: playing like she could go in on a brand without the worry of CC turning the fight, NEVER under estimate CC. And her second mistake: DON’T MAKE PREDICTABLE JUMPS YOU DONKEY.
Anyone complaining about irelia should give her a shot. She is countered by over 50% of the top lane and majority the rest are skill matchups and if a mid plays safe damn near every mage outscales her insanely hard. Only thing she hard counters is no cc mages, some assassins and pretty much all ADCs(but tbf adc is so bad everything can 1 shot them)

Beefy Darius that relies on stacking passive quickly to snowball early and become a raidboss at three items. Flexible build though, you can replace Titanic with Shojin or Cleaver and still do well.
What if you used divine sunderer instead of Luden? I mean it gives 3% magic pen with every legendary item, that plus void… you could’ve get up to 55% magic pen 😅
