I've been doing that for years. Every spring if I see any ants exploring inside the house I sprinkle a sugar/borax powder around entrances, outside by the garbage cans, along the foundation, etc. Then I'm pretty sure to be ant free for most of the year after that. Using a coffee grinder to turn a 50/50 mix of borax and sugar into a powdered sugar consistency seems to work best. If you put down crystals they eventually figure out how to leave the borax and only take the sugar. As a fine powder all they can tell is its a really sweet powder so they end up feeding more borax to the rest of the colony.
I use it for brazing metals using a filler metal such as brass. It forms a glassy coat at near brazing temperature keeping out oxygen and cleaning the parent metal.

I've used Epsom salt and borax in equal parts to get rid of toenail fungus. Heat up a gallon of water until boiling, mix the two into the boiling water until it's clear, then let it cool down to the touch. Soak your feet in that until it cools way down. After soaking, make sure to towel dry your feet. You'll have to do it several times, but the plus side it feels good on the feet. Sometimes I put a cup of each in my bathtub and soak my whole body, because it feels so good and invigorating on sore muscles. A lot of hot springs are rich in borax, Epsom salts and many other minerals.

You think you can help me with the following question? in some videos it shows that if you mix or dilute one teaspoon of Borax powder to one liter of water, and then if we take one teaspoon of that borax diluted solution and dump it in a glass of water - or juice etc. - that that second teaspoon with the diluted borax solution provides about 3 mg of boric acid for ingestion...so now question is: if I dilute one teaspoon of boric acid powder in one liter of water instead of borax, and then take one teaspoon of that diluted boric acid solution and mix it with water or juice, or perhaps just ingested by itself, do you know how many milligram would be in the teaspoon of the now diluted boric aicd solution? I can't seem to be able to find the answer to that question and I don't know how to calculate it. Can you help, I would really appreciate it very much? Thank you and God Bless!
How many milligrams in a teaspoon? If a teaspoon was 100 milligrams, then you would use that number, right? Find out the conversion of a teaspoon to milligrams.
Couple things: Do more research before taking boric acid!! I know lots of people who take Borax but never Boric acid. They are not the same at all! From what this lovely lady says, boric acid dissolves into ions and cations, its an acid! (Whats the pH?!) Boric acid has significant amounts of bromine. I dont think bromine is good for you. As for your calculations... First find out how many milligrams of Boron is in one gram of Boric acid. Theres a thousand milligrams in a gram, so you will have a fraction with 1000 on the bottom. Use this fraction to figure out how many grams of boric acid contain the amount of boron you want to ingest and multiply that by 16. Put that much Boric acid in one liter of water and drink one ounce per day for 16 days. Now figure out how much bromine that will cause you to ingest. Find out the side effects of eating that much Bromine. Next, go buy some Borax and take that instead!😂😂😂 Good luck, be careful!

Boric acid is definitely not the same thing as borax. Borax is Sodium tetraborate decahydrate which is mineral from the ground and boric acid is hydrogen borate and its toxic for human consumption.

Perhaps heating it refers to dissolving them. Borax is not a household detergent. It’s used as a water softener. BTW, borax is a decahydrate, 47% water by weight.

CORRECTION: There is no know use for boron in the human body. There is no pathway that uses it, and it is not incorporated into any proteins naturally

Recent medications are being made using boric acid and boron-containing components; drugs used for Alzheimer's and malaria, among many others. Read some actual studies; don't just regurgitate what mainstream news or " debunking sites" put up. There's a REASON we're not supposed to know how essential boron (found in borax & boric acid) is to our health. Sshhhhh...
