  • Well its new bike day! End of my Yeti era and back onto a Santa Cruz Hightower CC. This build is a bit custom using a full AXS drivetrain and Reverb, Lyrik/Super Deluxe Ultimate, Nobl Carbon Wheels, OneUp Components and DT350 Hubs. Is it the best bike for Vancouver Island? I think so!

Love what you did with the graphics and entire build,.
I ordered a Hightower CC AXS/XX1 Reserve build (xl - smoke gray) in early August. Was supposed to come in next week but it's delayed a week. I already have the AXS dropper, ridewrap, megneg, revgrips, one up bashguide and nukeproof pedals in-hand. Not that I'm excited or impatient or anything.
    Can't wait to ride it!

@@russc5269 thanks! I have been on a 2016 Bronson for 5 years and 7000+miles. I think the 145 rear should be good, but I already have the megneg in hand. I believe SC is the only one that voids warranty with the Cascade. My friend runs them on both his Yetis (130 and 150) and he swears by them.
I ride a ton of tech but I'm not a big jumper (too old, takes too long to recover when I crash). I guess I'll just have to wait and see...but waiting is the hardest part!

I've had my Rimpo v2 since March and it is quite easily so close to a one bike quiver. I actually sold my hightower as I used to have both and rode them both for some time. I think the Ripmo climbs much better and is a really fun party bike.

Check into the cascade link for the HT, I think it bumps the travel up to 150mm without destroying the climbing characteristics. I had the blue one and it was amazing and now on the Ripmo v2, won't say how good it is. Congrats on the new rig.

I sold my sb150 in June and replaced it with a Megatower. I also recently bought a tallboy for winter riding. I liked my Yeti, but the MT pedaled much better and had a lot of different ways it could be set up with longer forks and linkages. If I was to have one bike, the hightower would definitely be it.

Currently have a V1 bronson and thinking either bike will be a significant upgrade. Tried the 130 LR and really liked it, especially on the climbing. Don't think I will be able to try the HT in my area. Just wondering your opinion on how close the HT is in climbing compared to the 130 LR. Any other comments between the two would be appreciated. Thanks

I have a 2019 v3 Bronson. I’m looking to upgrade to something that overall pedals better but still descends well. I’m contemplating the Tallboy 4 or HT2. Would both of these bikes be a upgrade in that department over my Bronson? Which one would you choose if you want something that goes up as good as it goes down? I know the HT is more capable but is there a big difference between it and the TB when it comes to pedaling? If not I’d assume go HT but if there is then the TB might be worth going with as it prob would handle 95% of my rides. Thanks
