    It’s common for relationships to hit rough patches, yet there’s always a way to move forward. My own marriage faced serious obstacles, but with the right support, my wife and I overcame them and grew closer. With effort and teamwork, solutions are possible. Don’t give up-answers are attainable.

    I watch Dear Future Wifey for the interviews of "couples".
    Laterras' ex wife is not there to share her side. We dont get her memory of what occurred. We dont have the liberty of hearing how she felt and what kind of wife she desired to be to Laterras.
    Just because a man publicly admits to cheating......it does not mean hes an honest man. This may be "HIS TRUTH" versus "THE TRUTH".
    THERE IS A DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!

He also shared the house he bought this year was bc she was his realtor. We don't have to believe it. But I doubt every cheating man is liar in all thing in all ways for the rest of their lives.

    She went numb when u told her about the others because it. Hurt too much for her to handle. I think in the beginning she really did give her all to u. And his divorce still isnt valid. He needed to repent to her and the LORD and till his dying day seek to serve and love her as Christ does the church. For him to say God was okay with his divorce is nuts. He broke the vows. He doesn't deserve another wife and I pray he never gets one. His language is all wrong.

As a Day 1 for DFW, I truly appreciate how you continue to cover your ex-wife, and you stand 10 toes down on owning your part for the demise of your marriage. I am so glad that God is a redeemer of our stories. He does not use an eraser. He simply covers it with the blood, and gives us the opportunity to use the word of our testimony to overcome what the enemy meant for our destruction. Thank you that you did not shrink back even when faced with death of the podcast at 500 subs. You have changed so many lives, including mine. This guy really puts out way more self-importance than he deserves. There is nothing special or unique about his "story." Men cheat and divorce their wives all the time. Some have regrets, some don't. He's not the first, he won't be last. He didn't invent any of that.
    The people in the relationship and doing the hard work, day in and day out salvaging their marriage deserve all the credit for saving it. To me, he gives off highly narcissistic vibes. Today he is saving marriages, Tomorrow he will be the solution to peace in the Middle East.

      @eebz5 2 дні тому

      I dont think he nor the host said he invented anything or that he did something uncommon. Sharing your story ( whatever it is regardless of commonality) helps those who are stuck in it and feel isolated on the issue. Check out his podcast and hear his guests. Some married 30+ years, some on the brink of divorce and overcame it others divorced and some never married. It definitely breaks down so many aspects of relationship and gets beyond the surface, so ppl dating/married can get to depth and not stay stuck on the superficial parts.

    • @queenadventures4258
      @queenadventures4258 19 годин тому

       I have heard his podcast many times. . That is why I made the comments. He is not saving marriages. The people who do the hard work required to overcome challenges saved their marriage.
      He simply told a story of his life. What people do with that information is up to them and them alone. @@eebz5

    • @queenadventures4258
      @queenadventures4258 18 годин тому

      @@eebz5 You are correct, The host nor his guest said he invented anything. I was the one who said he is acting like he has done something special or invented something new.
      The people who saved their marriages are the two people who committed to do the hard work required. They are the only ones who deserve all of the credit. For anyone to say he saved anyone marriage is arrogant.
      All this dude did was tell a story about his life. What people do with that information is up to them and the work they put in is what counts.
      We only have his version of events His wife has her version, which surprisingly he doesn't have her on his podcast to tell her truth and a hard a real honest and open discussion. I wonder why.

    • @eebz5
      @eebz5 17 годин тому

      @queenadventures4258 your viewpoint is strong with no research. He's spoken of his ex many times as they maintain relationship. He wanted her to come in and since she doesn't care for the spotlight, she declined yet gave him clearance to speak on their past. I would love to share more, but I see it being pointless. Check out his podcast to balance your perspective. It has saved marriages and given singles and married ppl insight on how to better in relationship to avoid unnecessary hardship & divorce. Some ppl state the obvious as if it is profound. Clearly ppl in the marriage chose to work on it. Many use tools provided 3rd parties such as his podcast. Enjoy. Good bye.

    I see a lot of comments saying that she might have closed up because of trauma from the relationships but i think it might have been childhood related trauma. For the fact that she didnt even want to go to church and that she was aware that she isn't giving herself fully into the marriage. It looks like it is something that she learnt from the very young age. To withhold parts of herself and isolate either it sex , love or community. She put a lot of effort into protecting herself and i see parts of me in that and i hope she is has learnt to open herself to healing and living life fully 🙏.

    Not every woman or man is meant to be married.
    Some people should live alone because they do not know how to open up themselves to love and be loved.
    Love is about being affectionate, touching and kissing and all that good stuff and some people are just not into that.

    Laterras cheated on his wife before they married. I think it was multiple times too. She probably didn't feel safe enough in the marriage to trust him and open up. Guys seem to think that they can get both- live a sexually loose lifestyle pre-marriage and get a 100% of a woman in marriage. It's very difficult to build a house on a verified weak foundation. They probably should not have gotten married. Love and the desire for a healthy marriage is not enough.

    Wow, the comments in this section amaze me and makes me sad as a young husband. The response from women to men cheating has been the same since I could remember being a little boy. It’s always that the man must’ve did something to her or didn’t do the right magical steps to get her to open up or is just a dog. He clearly said she never fully opened up and that led to him finding it somewhere else, which is a common problem in many marriages as I’ve learned. I’m not validating what he did, it was completely wrong and hurtful to her. I was that child that had glimpses of my Dad’s infidelity and it hurt me so bad. I felt betrayed and felt for my mother. So I’m not saying it’s ok.
    What I am saying is that maybe the problem isn’t always the husband but a women’s past sexual experiences and thoughts around sexuality. I always see videos about all other relationship problems from but rarely around sexuality and understating how our experiences can manifest into our sexual relationships and how we go about sex. Hearing stories about the sexual abuse that many women have endured it short from tragic. But is it being addressed, confronted, understood and healed? From what I can see, the answer is barely. Many women, especially black, have their sexuality’s chained by warped beliefs and experiences through their upbringing. Of course that affects the marriage bed, but because it isn’t being addressed and a man goes and finds the WRONG solution, that gets hyper-focused on and used as the scapegoat as to why the marriage did not work. Even though it takes two to tango.
    And I’m tired of it, we need more men to open up these conversations with their ladies instead of just trying to solve the problem themselves because it always leads to him stepping out of the marriage, them getting divorced, and reinforcing the narrative from women that men are inherently cheaters, dogs and mess-ups.
    We need that more men that are bold like Kevin Samuel RIP🕊️. Even though I always didn’t agree with how he said things, I loved that he had the conversations, which is what a lot of men don’t do.
    To finish, I’m blaming women or trying to make men the victims. What I am saying is that we need to willing to dig deeper instead of going to the conclusion that men are the sole problem and reason for failed relationships.

      Scripture says God hates divorce but Scripture also states He Himself is divorced. He gave Israel a certificate of divorce and sent her away and made a new bride from the church of Jesus Christ. People act like divorce is the unpardonable sin. Like we could be forgiven of murder, stealing, lying, and every other sin and be given grace to start again but not divorce? Jesus taught that marrying a woman who been "sent away/dismissed" was adultery but you have to read the Bible in context of what was going on. Firstly, He was addressing a culture of women being dismissed WITHOUT being legally divorced in which case to marry her was indeed committing adultery because she was still married. Secondly, He was talking to Jews under the Law to highlight the impossible nature of achieving salvation by Law. There were no Christians at that point in time. He said not one jot or tittle of the law will pass away UNTIL ALL IS FULFILLED. Well Jesus fulfilled it all for us. That's not an excuse to flagrantly sin but to free us from the burden of the Law. Romans says the Law was a school master to bring us to Christ. Now we are in Christ we are under grace not Law. He has given us a new nature that desires to please Him so we do not use this grace as a license to sin. But divorce is not the unpardonable sin. God is a God of restoration and forgiveness. Even when David had murdered Bathshebas husband to cover his adultery and took her as his own, God did not send David to hell. He didnt even tell David that they could not be together. He blessed them with a son and even chose THEIR son to be the next King. What kind of unfathomable grace is that? We cannot compute it because we are not like that. But God says, I am not like you. My ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. Mercy will always triumph over Law in God's sight. Be free to love your husband and build a life together without living under condemnation. It is for freedom that Christ set you free. Our sins are forgiven. Allow yourself to receive His grace and be blessed. He does not hold our sins against us. They have all been nailed to the cross.

    Very good show. She married a man she never really gave herself too. She also said, our marriage isnt going to be based on sex! Sounds like she knew going in he did not have his heart. She was cold and numb! IMO

      I’m curious why this is so one-sided against her. Maybe the question should be why was she cold/numb? Perhaps he never made her feel emotionally safe. There’s more to this than just his side of the demise of the marriage.
