looks like people are finally finding about the sub vs dub war that has been going on since dub became available for anime.
here's my say for the sub vs dub.
Dub is good if you are too lazy to read or just don't have enough time to sit, read and watch. that, or you just suck at reading at a higher speed due to the language's communication being faster than your/our own. The voice acting will always be a gamble on whether its good, decent, amazing, or just straight ass. the dub will take the immersion out of the show if one voice actor's voice just doesn't sound right or doesn't fit on a character, especially if its a characters that's apart of the main cast, is the main cast, main character, or a supporting character that reappears from time to time. but this doesn't mean that all dubs are trash. Panty and stocking, Dbz as a whole, Pokémon, ghost stories ( this one is an exception because they turned it in to a comedy)
these are the once every blue moon dubs that are better or just as good as the sub/raw video.
subs will always be the go to for anyone who has time to read, just doesn't mind reading, or has been watching anime, or subbed shows for a while and has tried a few dubs and came to the conclusion that dubs are just not good unless that show's setting, art style or characters are benefiting the language its being dubbed in (panty and stocking). this too doesn't meant that subs have it easy too. some words, phrases or sentences are hard to translate some to most of the time. a lot of filer words might be added or the translation could be wrong as a whole and you might have to go rouge and translate it yourself using the knowledge of the words or phrases you know from that language, or search for a translation thats actually accurate to the show's script or dialog. the immersion is easy to get in but sometimes the subs do get in the way of fight scenes, important plot imagines or objects or "PLOT" if you know what i mean.
subs has more pros than cons while dubs have more cons than pros, but it doesn't matter much if both the sub and the dub did the job of showing you the translation to the show you're watching as accurate as possible.

Honestly if you watch dub, then good for you all power too you, especially if it’s for accessibility reasons. but like if you are normal individual, and not a slow reader, I really don’t understand why you’d watch dub. nine times outta ten It is an objectively worse experience and your watching a literal inferior version of a show. but again it’s all personal opinion, and I honestly get the “I don’t wanna read I’m watching tv” reasoning, but I couldn’t personally sacrifice the quality of the show and lower the level of enjoyment of my watching experience just so I could not read subtitles.
